It looks great in our kitchen, but I did find it a bit more difficult to use than my older whirlpool microwave. You have to enter the time you want to microwave food on this one vs my whirlpool, I just had to select one button (1 min, 2 min, etc) to select how long I want it to run.

I bought this as the updated version of my previous microwave. This new one seems to work well but the touch screen and latch mechanism are bit a downgrade in quality. The touchscreen buttons are hard to initiate. The door latch mechanism is very stiff and loud when closing and opening.

Overall unit is fine; Purchased to replace 2007 model only because it had same dimensions and i gambled it would fit nicely into existing built-in set up. It did with trim-kit trickery (kept old face and used bottom brace of new kit. My problem is the timer beep is RELENTLESS and there is no way to turn the alert off. It will NOT stop until like 5 cycles. Need to be able to shut that audio alert off, super annoying.

It works fine, love the size. The button to open the door is very stiff, hard to push open, that’s the only complaint. Not a lot of options if you need the kit to put it into the cabinets but overall it’s a nice microwave.

This microwave looks great and matches with my other Kitchenaid stainless steel products, however I have lived in my house for 15 years and this is my 4th microwave! I unfortunately have to stick with this model because it is the only one that Kitchenaid makes that will fit in the built out space and I prefer not to have mixed brand appliances in my kitchen. I usually don't write reviews but when the microwave we just received started malfunctioning right out the box, I felt it was needed. In the past it has been replaced due to various workmanship issues, rust and condensation inside of glass door, the inside of the microwave started to peel and bubble, the door opening latch stopped opening the door, one started making a load noise as if it were going to blow up, and one just stopped working. As a side note we had another brand microwave brought with us from our other home that we kept in the laundry room and used as well, it just died after 15 years of normal use. The issue with the current microwave is the push to open door latch sticking and not opening the door, we have to grab the door and assist it open! As I said this problem started right out of the box, and we've had it a month I just haven't had the time to call yet another warranty microwave "repair" person. I love my other Kitchenaid appliances but am truly fed up with this model!!

It’s a good microwave. Nothing fancy but installation is simple and straightforward. Highly recommend purchasing protection plan as these heavily used type of appliances tend to need service from time to time.

Bought this microwave as a replacement for the same model installed in my new home 2 1/2 years ago. The Magnetron failed. No replacement parts r produced for this model. Disappointed, but since it is used as a built in decided to replace with the same model. Expecting to obtain better performance the second time around! The shipper also damaged/dented the rear side panel. The good thing though, the microwave shipped to our location promptly and is working just fine!

This is the second KitchenAid microwave that we have purchased in 2 years. The first one gave out after just a little over a year and thank goodness, we purchased the extended warranty. Instead of fixing it, Best Buy gave us the credit for the first one and we had to pay the difference in price for this one since the price had gone up and also we needed to purchase another extended warranty for this one. So we made out okay, just wish that the microwaves lasted longer.

Great power and efficient heating. The touch pad is a bit concerning as to its durability as is the latch which must be depressed to open the unit for cooking. The unit is attractive and works fine I just wondering about the long-term durability of several of the mechanical components...it doesn't feel as "beefy" as it should for a unit this expensive.

Good microwave with regards to size and cooking. I would prefer Kitchenaid to make this with their signature handle.

Great microwave. Opening and closing door a little noisy but it is quiet and controls are easy to operate. Love the large capacity.

Very good quality, but doesn't seem to be as powerful as the one it replaced.

Very easy to install with a trim kit to give the appearance of a built-in, without the built-in price or hastle to replace when it wears out. (We never seem to get a microwave to last more than a few years, unfortunately. Though, this is our first KitchenAid so I'm hoping it lasts much longer than the others we've tried.

We previously had a Kitchenaid Microwave, but this one is so much better. We love it. And Best Buy was able to have it ready for pick-up in just 11 days. A local appliance store said they could provide it in 11 days, but called us 3 days later to say it would be September--2-1/2 months away. Best Buy is generally able to get products faster than anyone. We will always go to Best Buy first in the future.

Great microwave with strong heating power and very quiet operation. The fit is an exact replacement for a prior unit that went bad. It was built-in and that framing is an excellent match with this unit. The exterior matches all the other built-in appliances in the kitchen. Doing it ourselves saved almost $2000.

I love all the different features of this microwave oven. It has so many more cook options/settings than any other microwave I have owned. The quality of the microwave is excellent; it is a sturdy and beautiful appliance.
