5 star is not even enough to say how much I love my fridge. Not only was it cheap but the customer service was great!

Stainless Steel Door Rusts KitchenAid is horrible

Refrigerator door started rusting after 8 months. KitchenAid said that their warranty only covers cosmetic defects for 30 days. I was only made aware of a one year warranty. The stainless steel is obviously defective or very cheap. An expensive refrigerator door should not last less than 9 months. I did a complete kitchen remodel and having a rusty door on the refrigerator greatly detracts from the beauty of the kitchen. Who would buy an appliance under those conditions. Terrible product and company. Don't buy KitchenAid or Whirlpool if you want a quality made product.

Very happy with this refrigerator. Looks great and everything is working properly. Having the water and ice dispenser on the inside is a space saver and a much cleaner look.

The fridge: I am so happy it's here. Let me just say I had been told by Home Depot that this fridge was on backorder for over a year. They had two in stock, sitting there on the floor, but would not sell me one. I ordered one online from another company but after 6 months, still no fridge. I then went to the BestBuy web site, and there it was, and it was delivered to me within 3-4 days.
Pros: 1) This is truly counter depth, and even when butted directly to the counter next to it, the fridge door will not hit your counter. Split shelves adjust incrementally for custom placement. 2) Water dispenser on the inside makes for a smooth look with no water dribbling down the front of the fridge. 3) The water filter placement is at the top right of the fridge, which makes for a much easier filter replacement than my old fridge, where I had to lie on the floor to change it, after shoving and swearing a lot. 4) Nice large drawer for deli/meat/cheese; overall layout is spacious. 5) The delivery process was terrific - see below.
Cons: 1) The "fingerprint resistant" surface is covered in fingerprints, but this isn't my first rodeo with stainless, so I am not surprised. The photo was taken less than 2 hours after delivery, and after I wiped down with a sponge. 2) There is some kind of wavy plastic tubing in the back that is held on with a very large chunk of styrofoam, which says not to remove. Like actual packing styrofoam, not even the higher-end, pool-noodle type. I guess I have to leave it? 3) I don't like that the veggie/fruit drawers won't open unless both doors are open, but after looking at many French door fridges, I realize many are this way until you get to the higher end models. 4) You need two hands for the water dispenser.
Notes: The sides of this fridge are not stainless steel, rather they are painted gray metal. The bottom handle is curved, while the top two are straight. They come with the signature KitchenAid red end caps.
Delivery: Let me juxtapose the delivery experience between Best Buy and Home Depot, both of whom delivered large items to me today (a refrigerator and a whirlpool bathtub, respectively.)
Best Buy: I was given 2-3 courtesy calls and texts (at my request) to let me know when the delivery was scheduled later that week, including a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to arrival.
Home Depot: Other than taking my money and sending an email receipt, Home Depot ignored me until I called them to see when my tub would be delivered. Initially I was told was that item did not exist in inventory, and my order therefore did not exist. Good thing I had the order number handy.
Best Buy: Delivered fridge to my kitchen, gave a thorough explanation of the service to be performed, performed a functional test to verify correct operation, made a full inspection of the product, carefully removed all packing material to be collected for recycling, even wiped down my fridge a bit. The delivery men were polite, professional, and smiled.
Home Depot: Dumped the tub on my front doorstep without even knocking, though I had left delivery instructions to unload it at the back of the driveway, behind the house.
Takeaway: Always shop Best Buy. I hope their service is as good as their delivery if anything goes wrong with my appliances.

The issue I have with this refrigerator is when you open the deli tray you have to open up both of the French doors. The deli tray inside the refrigerator is the full width of the refrigerator. I didn’t know that before I purchased it, I purchased it online -very frustrating. It needs to be leveled

We had this refrigerator for one year, in that time frame the ice maker has been replaced 4 times!, it’s a constant problem. I never experienced an on going issue like this with any other brand.
Geek Squad refuses to send me a replacement, they just send a service technician and replace the ice machine, I am done with Best Buy when my service contract ends.

My girlfriend and I just purchased a new town home in the Dallas farmers market and we were in need of a counter depth standard size refrigerator. After looking at multiple brands like Frigidaire, Jenn Air & Bosh (because all of our other appliances are Bosch). We found the Kenmore. We liked the Kenmore because it had a clean finish on the exterior with professional handles and on the interior the ice maker was placed in the bottom freezer and the water dispenser on the inside of the interior cabinet. All in all we love the refrigerator so far, not noisy, great lighting and decent amount of storage room. It would be difficult if you had a large family to store all the necessary food items, but for the two of us it works perfectly. The only trouble we had occurred during the delivery when the logistics team decided to leave in the glass shelving instead of properly removing them for later install inside the house and within the first 2 feet of being inside our entry way, the shelves slid out and shattered on our brand new marble entry way. Nothing has been done from Best Buy except they delivered a second unit 2-3 days later. The damages done to my flooring and the food that spoiled in between the days of being without a refrigerator has not be compensated back to us. Still waiting...but great Kenmore product if you are shopping for a counter depth refrigerator!

It's a beautiful refrigerator. Although this is 3 cubic feet smaller than the side-by-side we are replacing it seems to have more room. The doors hold a lot of stuff because the ice maker doesn't take up door storage space. There are plenty of shelves to customize. Gallon milk jugs can fit in the door shelves! It's quiet. After installation it cooled to 38° degrees within a few hours. The freezer also cooled to 0° degrees within a few hours. The manual said to wait 24 hours before putting food in but that is not required. A few hours and you're ready to go! It also started to produce ice within about 4 hours. And, it produces ice very fast! So far so good!

I liked the professional look of the Kitchenaid and it's made in America! I needed a refrigerator that would fit into a counter space. What was the home builder thinking when they made this small space in my kitchen. The KA was delivered by two really nice delivery guys. They taught us about our new appliance. The refrigerator had some ripples on the edge of the stainless steel front. It looked like if I ordered a new one it would be like this one so I thought I could live with this minor defect. I liked having the water dispenser inside the refrigerator. There are not too many refrigerators that offer this feature. A couple days later I purchased food for the week. I opened the freezer and it was full of ice particles everywhere. It looked like it was snowing in my freezer. I also realized the french style freezer baskets was not a great idea if you're a person that likes things organized. Everything goes down to the bottom and disappears. The French style is nice looking but I like an organized refrigerator. After reading hundreds of reviews, well not a hundred but close, I decided to purchase a five-year warranty. The good ole days with appliances lasting forever are over. Technology has ruined the longevity of appliances. I called Best Buy and told them about my Kitchenaid frosty freeze. I said if it has problems this early, I want to return it for a different product. The guy that helped me was outstanding! He was willing to take the time and help my pick out a flex four door refrigerator. The exchange went smoothly. This Kitchenaid is not a bad refrigerator but it's not for me.

I have had this fridge for a month and absolutely love it. After having the same side by side for 30 years, it was time! I will say at 20 cu. Ft this is small, there is only 2 of us, so it is perfect. I like that is a counter depth fridge. Runs quiet and ice machine works great! Don’t really use water dispenser as it’s slow to come out, could be my wells pressure? Would recommend for small family or someone who has a separate freezer chest. Design is great, love the handles.

Overall it's a good refrigerator. The refrigerator is a little shallow and the freezer is a little small. The only problem is some of the rubber molding is coming apart of the magnetic strip on the right hand door.
I bought this unit because supposedly it's an older and more reliable design. Only time will tell.

Stunning KitchenAid refrigerator. Integrated flawlessly into our kitchen design. Energy efficient, quiet, wonderful design of interior storage. It's a KitchenAid...I didn't expect anything less.
Best Buy communicated with us from the purchase to the ship date, to the delivery date. We were never in the dark on how this order was being handled.
Delivery from Best Buy was great. Great team uncrated, placed and removed all packing material.
Couldn't be more happier.

This refrigerator was delivered in mid-October to replace a higher end GE Monogram model that was dying (after just 7 years of use). I purchased it because I had KitchenAid appliances in the past and liked them. But many years have passed, and you know how things can change. I also had to consider the amount of space available in the kitchen for the refrigerator - the previous one was not "built-in" but had a built-in look. This refrigerator fit the bill there. I love the sleekness of the design - it fits well in this kitchen with the other high-end appliances. I also like the interior water dispenser better than on the exterior - less mess, and sleeker look. It actually feels like it has more interior room than the previous refrigerator because the layout is more functional - the previous model was a side-by-side. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the drawers on the interior do seem cheap compared to every refrigerator I have owned, and I don't know if they will hold up over time. It also definitely has less freezer space. But the other features I'm very pleased with. The Geek Squad installation was very professional, too - they were fantastic.
