Customers are saying

Customers highly value the 24" Built-In Dishwasher's quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance. Many appreciate its ease of use and the ample capacity for dishes. While some users mention longer cycle times and sensitivity of the control panel, the positive feedback on cleaning and noise levels outweighs these concerns.

I decided on this item because of the free installation and quiet feature that other reviews rave about. It's only been a week and so far so good. For the price point I'm impressed with the features, large capacity, stainless inside, looks very nice, and the best part - - it's almost barely audible. And yes, it removes even stuck on spaghetti sauce which I did on purpose and left no residue. The old unit I replaced work just fine but unbearably loud especially in a condo. Wish I replaced sooner.

Purchased at discount price for a stainless tub. Very quiet and efficient cleaning. Must lock controls between uses or slight bump or brush by them will start the dishwasher. Annoying but not that inconvenient. Installed in an older kitchen so it sticks out a little more than I expected. The lock and fitting made this a 4 versus 5 rating

Dishwasher runs so quietly you can barely hear it. Dishes come out clean on even the light cycle. Only thing my husband does not like is it is hard to read the selections when starting the machine.

Super quiet. Racks are smoothest rollers ever! Also top one adjusts for extra space. 2 problems: The rubber gasket in dispenser slide door came out after 10 washes. Can't get it back without taking all apart? Other (minor) issue is the delay timer only has 4 hr. delay.. Others have more choices. Not a deal breaker. Overall I'm happy. Thanks.

Somewhat disappointed in this dishwasher as it does not clean as well as it should and does not get the dishes completely dry. Something that costs this much should do an excellent job. However, it is much, much better than the Bosch we just got rid of. The racks slide out much more smoothly and it has a better configuration for loading dishes. It also has the controls on the outside of the door where you can see them. With the Bosch, we had a serviceman out 7 times for repairs before they refunded our money.

It's just a dishwasher, right? The controls are touch sensitive and exactly at the height of our hips, so every day we stand against our counter to prepare food, we unintentionally turn the dishwasher on by brushing up against it! The spokes on the upper rack are too far apart, so bowls, Tupperware lids, and even mugs don't fit properly. They made a utensil basket with a mesh top so you could suspend and separate your forks and spoons from each other, but they made the holes too small for anything but the most basic silverware. There's more, but that should be enough. It would cost me more to have it uninstalled, but I would if I could.

We really like the new dishwasher we got. This was an upgrade to the samsung one we originally had that didn't wash anything it seemed. This unit looks great and doesn't have a handle so the profile is much sleeker than other units. It runs very quietly, so much that I didn't realize it was running the other day. The dishes come out looking amazing! The cycle seems to run longer than the dishwashers I've had in the past but the dishes come out cleaner so I'm fine with that. The biggest downside to it is the buttons on the outside are easy to press without realizing it. I had it run a cycle the other day and didn't realize until it was halfway done. I touched the button (touch sensitive) while resting my hand on the side of the countertop. The unit is so quiet I didn't hear it for a while. To avoid this my wife and I try to remember and put the button lock on unless we are about to run a cycle. I have also had a little issue with turning that lock on/off since it is a "hold for 3 sec" type of thing and it didn't seem to register if your hand is wet. Overall I would definitely buy this dishwasher again.

Pluses: The right number of cycle choices. Dishes come out very clean. Very quiet. Easy to clean filters. Very easy to load. Something I would change: the silverware slots are too narrow for my knife and fork handles. Spoon and salad forks ok. I'm also used to having a weighted door. This model the door has to be physically pushed down by hand to open all the way.

Replaced an older dishwasher that was having issues with this one. Simple to install, easy to operate and the dishes are very clean. Quiet operation, but does take a little longer than the older dishwasher. Simpler construction too, with easy access to the filter without having to unscrew any parts. Stainless steel interior appears to be well made.

Did a lot of research before replacing a failing Whirlpool unit. Had it down to this unit and one made by Bosch. Thing that turned me to Kitchen Aid is that Bosch doesn't have a drying element. Many reviews pointed to issues with dishes drying properly so dropped the Bosch idea. The Kitchen Aid dishwasher is GREAT! I installed myself without any issue (did watch the companies install video found on their website). It is quiet (no exaggeration) and cleans very well. I waited to do this review until I had used it for a couple of months to make sure no issues arose. Very happy with the purchase.

Dishes come out clean and unspotted; easy to load. Not sure about the two plastic tops to the silverware holder; I've taken those out and stuck them in a drawer as the silverware doesn't fit otherwise. But I could see having a top might be useful now and then. The filter is easy to clean. I have not seen a problem with moisture in my cabinetry which others have brought up. I like the stainless steel tub, and it's very quiet. The cycles do seem very long, though. Overall, a good purchase for the money so far. I would have preferred the black one but I didn't want to wait months for it. The white one (the one I purchased) looks good, though.

Pros Noise: Extremely quiet. You don't hear it at all Racks: Adjustable. Accommodates larger/taller vessels. Space: Lot of space Rack Design: It is good in a sense that it does not move the objects while washing Cons: Side Vents - It has side vents. You want to make sure that the side vents are not blocked by the cabinet walls Installation - I got it installed by BB installer. He had difficulty aligning this dishwasher door, and he said it was because the walls of this dishwasher were not rigid, so it does not sit well if the cabinet walls are not completely straight. Not sure if this is right or wrong. But, What I know is that he spent a lot of time aligning the door. Washing - I tried normal, pro, and tough so far. In my opinion, tough wash gets better results. Normal and Pro is very average. And, this is for dishes that are not dirty. I usually prewash and remove any tough sticky stuff before putting it into the dishwasher. Heat/Dry - If I don't put rinse-aid, the heat/dry option does not come out good. My previous old, inexpensive Whirlpool dishwasher did a fantastic job just with air/dry. And, I find it a bit hard to pour Rinse-aid to that small hole without spilling all over. I had to use a funnel!! Also, it is difficult to see if I have filled it fully with the Rinse-aid.

This dishwasher is very quiet and cleans well. The normal cycle is very long (much longer than my old dishwasher) which is only problematic if you are in a hurry. Wish this one let you know how many minutes are left until completion like my old dishwasher. The tines on the bottom rack are spaced farther apart so it doesn't seem to hold as many dishes as my previous KA dishwasher. Overall I'm satisfied because this was the least expensive of the three dishwashers I was considering buying.
