Customers praise the 24" Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless-Steel Tub for its quiet operation, excellent cleaning performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its sleek design and roomy interior, noting the improved appearance over expectations. While some found the wash cycles longer than anticipated and experienced issues with the racks, the positive feedback on cleaning and quietness outweighs these concerns. The overall quality of the product is also frequently highlighted.

Like most consumers I did my research and compared other products and their reviews.
I'm very pleased with my selection of dishwasher. What an improvement over our previous dishwasher. Dishes are spotless and clean. It is so quiet I don't even know it's running! I haven't used the ProWash cycle. No need. I love the timer delay feature so I can set it to run during non peak hours. I like how the top rack moves up or down to fit larger items on top or bottom. I definitely recommend this dishwasher!

This dishwasher is attractive and easy to keep clean. It is easy to load and unload. The instructions are simple and include helpful prompts. My dishes, flatware, and glasses keep getting shinier with each use.

I can not even tell when this is running. It made the one we replaced, which was brand new in new construction home, look like a toy. It is a work horse and cleans awesome.

We had a old washer that was loud, so loud that we can't even hear our tv!
After long research we decided to buy Kitchenaide.. it cost more but it worth every penny! When this washer is on I thought it was broken because it was so quiet!
If there was only one thing I can complain about is not really the performance of the washer, but the extruding handle.. wish they make one with out the handle bar!

I bought this one to match a new refrigerator, but I checked the reviews first. The 'normal' wash cycle cleans everything, even though it takes me a week or so to fill it with enough dirty dishes for a full load. There are many other wash & dry options that I probably won't use. Only 2 issues: the filling tray for rinse-aid makes it a little hard to see what you're doing, and the stainless steel smudges pretty easily.

This dishwasher is quiet and has been a welcome replacement for the Kenmore Elite that cost twice as much. It does a good job cleaning and is attractive to look at.

$1000 dishwasher used once a week for a year before it started gushing water. When i went to Best Buy they refused to help me at all because it'd been installed a year and a week prior in my newly remodeled kitchen. I guess $20 per load is considered to be acceptable before they start causing water damage.

I've washed all the dishes by hand for the past 20 years, so any dishwasher would have been great, but this KitchenAid has exceeded expectations. Not only do the dishes come out clean and dry every time, they look they are brand new every time. There have been one or two times when a couple of dishes have had a little residue left on them, but that was only when my wife or I really piled dishes on top of each other in the unit to see what it could do.We use the Rinseaid and the soap packets that are recommended, and this baby does a bang-up job every time. I did a lot of research before buying this unit. It was between this and a Bosch, but when this one went on sale, we went ahead and bought it. All we do is scrape off any leftover food into the garbage disposal and put the dishes in the washer. It takes care of the rest. It is very quiet. You can hear it, but it is the soft murmur of water, so it isn't a bother at all. Some people may be put off by the handle that sticks out a ways, but when I tested different washers at the store, the door felt very sturdy when compared to other machines. We use the handle as a towel rack. The controls are easy to use. It has a bunch of different functions, but we just use the normal wash mode, and it works great.

The first thing that I liked about this dishwasher was the sleek look. I also liked the sturdy baskets inside and the special features. The performance so far has been excellent. It is very roomy inside and the special compartments keeps everything in place so there is no rattling and everything gets clean.

It is perhaps too early to rate this KitchenAid ESS104 because I have only had it a week and have only used it twice. But I will say this . . .
PROs:
1. Quiet: Not silent, but incredibly quiet compared to the 25 year old GE that was in the home that I purchased. The floor plan is open concept, and noise bleed from the kitchen into the common areas of the house is almost non-existent.
2. Effective: I purchased the Cascade Platinum and rinse aid as recommended, and the dishes and silverware come out extremely clean and dry/streak-free.
3. Stylish: While I don't care for the red designer "spot" on either side of the handle, overall the unit looks very clean/industrial/professional. I prefer the sturdy looking handle to a slender curved handle, as I find on some appliances those handles tend to come loose over time and require tightening. I also like the control buttons "hidden" on top of the door rather than on the front of the unit. So I like it--although I am the first to admit any styling is subjective.
4. Easy to use: The two racks slide in and out with ease. The top rack easily adjusts up and down to accommodate taller glasses or other items on the upper rack. The silverware rack is long/big, and I like both the position of the rack and the "slots" on the top that allow the user to place individual pieces with slight separation and provide better cleaning.
CONs:
1. A filter that will need to be cleaned periodically.
2. No hard food disposer.
2. No third rack.
OVERALL: Considering that I only paid $629 and also had free installation to boot (by the way, the installers from BB were fast, courteous, professional, and were in and out of my home within the first time window provided to me) I have to say that I think I purchased a very good dishwasher for the money spent. Is it reasonable to expect a hard food disposer and a 3rd rack for $629? Probably not, unless I am buying it from an outlet store, out of the box/refurbished. A great value, providing that it lasts half as long as the original dishwasher.

I bought a Bosch first and although it cleaned fine, the dishes were too wet afterwards and the tines we slanted and couldnt fit tall glasses in well so I returned it and got this and so far so good. It cleans well, dries fine and i almost as quiet as my Bosch was but I never have heard of people buying a dishwasher because of quietness anyway. The Bosch also had a smell after each wash and this does not.
Also I read that a lot of people didnt like the handle but it actually looks jazzy in my contemporary kitchen. All in All, I'm satisfied.

So quiet and looks beautiful in the kitchen. Night and day difference from the old one. Cleans dishes well without a problem. 4 stars because the touch pad control panel sometimes wont register my touch. Pressing harder doesn't help. Its more about using your entire finger laid down to get the touch sensor to work and not just the finger tip. The interior is sleek but smaller than my old one I think because of the added sound proofing insulation. I like the new silverware holder which helps get the silverware very clean.

When our Whirlpool dishwasher quit working, we needed a replacement. After looking at many (and reading reviews) we decided this was the best choice at this current price (add the free delivery and installation). Everything was perfect. We love this machine.
There is a learning curve, this machine is almost too quiet! Wash cycle is longer, no other negatives. This is our best overall choice considering the available choices to me in my area.
Oh yeah, it does a great wash- our results have been exemplary (this purchase).

I visited a number of stores looking for dishwashers before finally purchasing at Best Buy. Their staff was knowledgeable and was not pushy in regards to the sale. They were able to answer most of my questions and didn't try to up sell me. The machine works well and the one bad part of the purchase is finding out after that the dishwasher only took the pods and not liquid detergent. Machine is very quiet and we couldn't tell it was running the first time after we had turned it on. The clean ability of the unit worked out well and it is taking a while of getting used to not haven't to pre rinse and wash dishes so well prior to loading them into the machine.
I would also recommend anyone looking to purchase any machine be sure to take a couple pieces of silverware with you to ensure your silverware fits into the slots.

This replaced a 15 year old dishwasher, so it is much more quiet than what I had. It has many more cycles than I am used to and I have tried several, but they average about 2 hours to clean, where as my old one was super loud, but everything was clean and dry in an hour. Apart from this I don't have any complaints. The drawers don't slam inside.

Did my homework & the great reviews did not lie! Easy to load, super quiet & cleans even dried food & the grease off of plastic. I do use rinse aid & quality dishwasher detergent pouches. Have tried the ProWash, tough & normal cycles, always with heated dry, & the results have been consistently amazing!

I love this dishwasher. I replaced my 15 year old GE dishwasher which was so loud and started leaking at the door. The kitchenaid is very quiet compared to my old one and I love the stainless steel interior. The cycles do run longer (over 2 hours) but that is ok for me. The dishwasher is very sharp looking! Very happy with this purchase.

We needed to replace our dishwasher, as the one that was in the home when we moved in had ceased operating. Initially, we had looked into more economical options, different brands that were a little less on the cost. After careful consideration, though, we arrived on the decision of purchasing the KitchenAid dishwasher. Aside from a sturdy build, sleek design, and the steel interior, this dishwasher runs very quiet. Sometimes we forget that it is even running and bare in mind, our kitchen is open to our living room. With our older dishwasher, you could hear it running from down the hall. I also like how the buttons are on the top of the door, so you have this very minimalist look when the dishwasher is shut. I absolutely recommend this dishwasher for anyone looking for a good looking & quiet running unit. As far as the dishes, they have come out looking great consistently for the 3 months we have had the unit.
