    Consumer affairs review KA dishwasher KDTE204GPSO Purchased at Best Buy in Nov 2017. Doesn't dry dishes at all even with 2 heat cycles, takes 3 hours or more for any cycle except express wash. This is NOT saving energy. My machine has a problem with the computer- this terrible design requires you to press start if you put dishes in mid cycle, which is a terrible design because people forget to start it again, mine is intermittently having the issue of not starting at all when I do this. It beeps and then I have to cancel/ drain and start a whole new cycle. Even though I purchased an expensive extended warranty with Best Buy, because it has a one year warranty I am stuck with dealing with Kitchen Aid for the first year. They sent someone out once who barely did anything and said nothing is wrong. I called again and this time was told I may be charged a fee if nothing functional is wrong. Last time he found a loose arm so I guess I was not charged that time due to that. So KA is claiming owner observed computer failures are not functional problems which they acknowledge. I was told to take a video of it, really? Why dont you stand behind your products KA? I wish I had returned it immediately when the problem started, it is a brand new machine with a computer problem from the get go and I’m being given the run around by everyone. The resolution specialist said he would waive a service charge this time and then said when they come if they try to charge me, call KA and they will waive it, for real? I’m not getting on the phone to argue about waiving a fee that shouldn't be charged, just waive it and diagnose what is wrong. I wish I had never bought this expensive supposedly high end machine. Not happy with it at all. I need sterilized dishes due to celiac so now I must wait 4 hours for dishes that come out wet with continued computer issues. I was ill and so was my cat when this started so I was too exhuasted to deal with it then and we also had to return a terrible washing machine purchased at the same time at BB sale. Give me back my GE please. Never again will I purchase KA. Waiting for BB store to call to see if they will help at all. Noy holding my breath. Read reviews before purchaing appliances especially with all the new energy efficient machines which no longer do the job and computerized elctronics which cause problems and then the comapny refuces to acknowledge when you have a brand new faulty product.
