LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dishwasher. It is so quiet I only know its running by the lights. Even with stuck on food, the dishes come out spotless! I bought this towards the end of October but wasn't able to get until mid-December. But, it was well worth the wait. No complaints whatsoever. And the installation crew from BB were wonderful.

Love this dishwasher. Had for a month. Very clean dishes and dishwasher afterwards. Can even turn on when it's time for bed. You'll never know that it was on. Love the casters on it. Didn't know that they would make that much of a difference.

The dishwasher cleans the dishes very well. It Is quiet, and you can barely hear it at all. The only drawback that I’ve noticed is that it takes a while for the cycle to be completed.

This is my third Kitchenaid dishwasher. Ist came with our house it was old and tub was rusting out. Not cleaning real well. Bought a new stainless steel tub unit with built in disposer unit. Had that KitchenAid for 10 years before I got rid of it. DO NOT Ever buy a kitchenAid dishwasher with built in disposer unit! That dishwasher worked fine for about a year before we noticed dishes not coming out clean. The screen in front of and part of the disposal unit deep inside dishwasher was clogging not allowing water pressure to sprayer arms. Machine would go about 2-4 months before I would have to disassemble and clean screen. In the end I concluded its just a poorly engineered design. After research I began to notice so many dishwashers with no disposals built in and instead have a user cleaned filter inside tub. I decided to give KitchenAid another try. What a difference! This model lives up to specifications claimed and features are really well implemented as well! Really like exterior touch screen panel - works well. The cycles offered I think cover all the most used cleaning options. Very well designed and executed construction over older Kitchenaids.
Racks are easily adjustable up and down( top rack), very nice rolling bearings allow racks to slide in and out almost too easily.
Water is heated in tub so homes hot water does not have to be set so high, this I believe really helps in washing of dishes. Regular wash cycle is very long. Smart clean cycle seems to be shorter as it monitors soil level of wash water to adjust wash/rinse times. Either way it works extremely well. Heated dry works really well as dishes come out spot free and dry. Having to easily remove tub basket filter once or twice a week is a real nice feature over the nightmare process with before mentioned dishwasher. And lastly dishwasher was very easy to install for DIY and boy this thing makes little to no noise when running.

Bought to replace an 18-year-old Kenmore that suddenly died. I was looking for an Energy Star dishwasher with a stainless steel drum and no PVC in the racks, and was going to buy the cheapest model that came with both (a Maytag), but in comparing this Kitchen Aid with the Maytag, I liked the sturdy racks and lower decibels of the KitchenAid and felt the extra $100 would be worth it over time. I've been extremely pleased with the choice!
The Kitchen Aid racks roll smoothly, and the top rack has a handle with the Kitchen Aid insignia that gives you something substantial to hold on to when moving the rack in and out. (The top rack can also be moved up or down to fit items of different sizes, and has a small section for wine glasses.) I'm not crazy about the configuration of the spikes on the top rack, but all dishwashers now have similar setups; it seems you're supposed to put mugs and glasses along the sides and bowls in the middle, but my family uses more cups than bowls, and I can fit bowls on the bottom rack...
Still, compared to the Bosch models, the Kitchen Aid has a traditional arrangement on the bottom rack for plates, and our somewhat thick dinner and salad plates fit well, with bowls along the sides. We can usually run the dishwasher every other day (family of 3).
We always rinse and scrape off food particles before putting dishes in the dishwasher, so after more than a month of use, we've had nothing on the filter to clean. I've been using only a few drops of Rinse Aid, and there are no streaks. Everything is dry using the Heat Dry (NOT "Extended Heat Dry," which takes longer), though of course occasionally there are small pools of water on the upside-down mugs, but you can easily wipe those dry. Sometimes overnight I've used no drying function, and things have been mostly dry in the morning. (The dishes get extremely hot with Heat Dry, so it's actually easier to leave them a few hours before emptying the dishwasher.)
The Kitchen Aid is so quiet that it's hard to tell whether it's running. If you add a dish after it starts running, you have to press Start/Resume to get it going again, and it will make a few false starts before getting back into its cycle again. There's a Clean light that lights up when the whole cycle is done (and Washing or Drying indicator lights as well).
I don't like the silverware basket that came with this model, which has holes for the silverware. You can opt to keep the silverware basket top open, but I liked the one from my Kenmore better, because it has two small covered baskets at either end for smaller items that might fly around in the dishwasher. (I ended up putting the Kenmore silverware basket in place of the KitchenAid one.)
Overall, I've been very impressed by how well and quietly it works, and happy with its quality.

The side is dented in. It wasn't visible with the box on despite the box having a few creases in it. The door doesn't work properly and clicks every time the cable rolls by the bent parts, which will surely snap the cable at some point. Looks like someone dropped it on it's side or something. I hope best buy honors a replacement. I wish I could review it as it looks like a great unit, but I won't be installing this one.

I didn't realize how bad my previous dishwasher was until I started using this one. Everything comes out noticeably cleaner. Easily the most quiet dishwasher I've ever owned. Can barely hear it running. I only have two minor complaints so far. The cycle time is really long, which isn't really an issue if you start it before bed. I wish that the control buttons were back lit to make them easier to read. Other than that, really happy with the purchase.

Have the dishwasher for about 10 days. I washed EVERY dish, glass, pan, utensil in the entire house. We've been without a washer for awhile. I was amazed at the cleanliness of how everything came out..you'd think everything was new.
Quiet, attractive ( black), easy to use, no water marks. If I'm around, I'll stop it somewhere through the drying cycle (cancel, so it will drain) and the dishes are always completely dry. Only negative is that there isn't a countdown timer so you don't know exactly where you are in the wash/dry cycle, although there are indicators letting you know what cycle it's in. Installer was great,
(local pro was used) took about 45 minutes.
Happy with my choice. Installed 6-11-19

This dishwasher cleans all of my dishes extremely well. I’m shocked at just how bad the old one must have been since old items come out looking new and sparkling clean! It also dries very well. The only place I’ve noticed a little bit of water is on the top of Tupperware items (which are placed upside down) and even then it is minimal. I’m able to put the dishes right into their cabinets as soon as the cycle is over. Also, some people commented on how long the normal cycle takes but it took about an hour and a half on my unit which I don’t consider bad at all. The machine is also very quiet which doesn’t matter to me anyway. I’m very pleased with this unit!

Had this dishwasher for 2 months now and it works GREAT! We use the "normal" cycle, with the default heated drying setting, and dishes are coming out washed and glassware is spotless. We are using Cascade Platinum Pods as recommended. We have even put in some tough baked on casserole dishes, and it cleans them just fine on "normal" cycle, when the casserole dish is placed on the bottom rack. They default drying cycle works great, everything is coming out complete dry, using Cascade's rinse aid. The wash cycles are kind of long (~3 hours), but they claim that is for the energy efficiency of the machine. Not a big deal for us, as we set it to wash overnight anyways. Oh and the 46dbs advertised is accurate, this machine is the quietest we have owned.
We purchased this system because of the simple functions, not a lot of needless cycles and functions which would never be used. Also like the fact we could get it with the handle integrated into the face.
We also paid to have Best Buy install this washer and haul off the old one. Their installers were professional, timely and efficient. No complaints.

This is a review complimenting Kitchenaide as much as complaining about Samsung. We replaced all our Kitchen appliances almost 5 years ago with Samsung. Sales folks at Best Buy back then recommended Samsung. PLEASE - do yourself a favor and do not buy Samsung kitchen appliances. They’re garbage. Now, this Kitchenaide dishwasher walks all over the prior Samsung. It’s very quiet, gets dishes clean and also dry! What a novel idea. I would recommend this Kitchenaide!

Quality dishwasher, as you would expect from KitchenAid and its made here in the states. Amazingly quiet, and really does a great job cleaning our dishes. The Pro Wash with Extended Dry cycle does seem to take a long time to get through, over 2 hours, but I will say that a heavily soiled load, or larger than average load still comes out clean. The filter in the bottom of the dishwasher is easy to access, and clean out.

This dishwasher is spacious and cleans very effectively. There are many different options to do a wash and dry and it is easy to understand all the options available. It runs very quietly and the dishes come out sparkling. It seems to be bigger than our last dishwasher, really love this one.

Super quiet. Cleans dishes really well no matter how full we stuff it. You can fit a lot in this unit. It is so quiet I stood in front of it to make sure it was running. Super easy install. Ordered and was able to pick up from bb warehouse the next day. Very happy with the whole process and extremely happy with the unit.

This dishwasher is extremely quiet. The racks glide out very easily, which makes loading nice. My old dishwasher did not dry items on the top rack very well, but this one does a good job. The cycles take a long time, but there is an express wash option.
