Overall I'm very satisfied with the quality of the wash. It's definitely an improvement over my 15 year old Whirlpool. The KitchenAid gets around 95% of everything off my dishes. If it's a pan or crock with burnt on food it obviously won't cut it, and dried on egg or milk rings in glasses can still linger if they're heavy enough, but it's a vast improvement over needing to pre-rinse everything. Even peanut butter usually disappears without a trace. It's also blissfully quiet. My wife has opened it on more than one occasion to add dishes only to realize it was already running. I wouldn't call it completely silent, but if you're having a conversation or performing other tasks, you rarely notice it at all. My old unit had a loud hum and you could hear the water jets cycling from 30 feet away in another room. The only problem is the quality of the dry cycle. It just doesn't work. I've used heated dry and extended dry and everything is still wet inside after the cycle completes. I just open the door a couple inches and let it air dry overnight, but I shouldn't need to do that. And unfortunately this appears to be an issue with many modern dishwashers. They're sealed so well for efficiency that they just don't let the water vapor out effectively. Overall I still love the unit though.

This is a great appliance. It’s quiet and does a great job cleaning. I have three complaints: 1. The silverware basket should be smaller or at least able to separate into two parts. It’s so big and takes up so much room - and sometimes we don’t need to wash that much silverware. 2. The very top shelf should be able to move up and down - we have what I guess are “oversized” glasses and mugs and we can’t put them on the top shelf easily. 3. The tilted row on the bottom rack should be able to be adjusted flat...in fact all of the rows on the bottom rack should be adjustable. Other than that it is a solid appliance and I am happy with the purchase.

I have found it to be so quite that I had to turn my ar puifier off in the living room to be able to hear that it was running. It cleans my dishes great and it is by far the best dishwasher that I have ever owned.

I like the dishwasher with a few slight dislikes. Nice looking inside and out. Very quiet except for little clicking sounds. Doesn’t bother me but my two cats run. The only thing that disappoints is that the regular drying cycle does not thoroughly dry the dishes. To dry the dishes and the inside of the machine, you must push the extended heat dry or towel dry some of the dishes and then use the towel to dry the inside of the machine if it matters to you

Pros--It looks nice Extremely quiet. almost TOO quiet 3rd rack is nice Cons--Poor cleaning Rinsing dishes is essential Can't clean pots and pans Can't clean day-old dishes We did a kitchen remodel, bought this to replace a 15 year old Bosch DW that had a non-working soap dispenser. Our work-around was to throw soap packet in the bottom an use the 30 min Quick cycle. Even then, the Bosch ran rings around this piece of junk. No rinsing, pots and pans, dried food---all spotless. I would take the broken 15 year old Bosch over this one any day. Do yourself a favor, skip this Dish Rinser and look at a Bosch.

It's very very quiet. For the price, I would like a little closer to silent, but it's good enough. Cleans dishes very well, no spots. Hoping this one lasts longer than our previous, which only made it about 5 years.

This dishwasher is super quite, you can hardly tell that it is on. I also really like that there are three racks, it seems to fit a lot more than our older model did.

The Kitchenaid dishwasher has been an adjustment! I think the best feature is that it is quiet. My old dishwasher was a Bosech and I definitely preferred it. The tines on the kitchenaid are NOT adjustable. It does not hold enough place settings. I find I need to use the second rack for small plates and bowls. Then the third rack (designed well) for cups and glasses. It does clean the dishes well but, it only has a 4 hour delay option. Definitely inconvenient not being able to choose when the dishwasher will start. Overall its fine but I preferred the European Bosech.

The dishwasher works very well. It’s very quiet and the dishes come out clean. Lots of room.

This dishwasher does an excellent job of cleaning dishes, even when I choose not to pre-rinse. It’s so quiet I can hardly tell it is running. The racks are spacious and can fit my stand mixer bowl and my blender. The third rack is also surprisingly large and useful.

Overall the KitchenAid is working very well. Choose it over the other highly rated brand because of the third rack. Love it. I wish there was more flexibility in the lower racks tongs. No models are great for larger pans and pots. But Overall, would purchase this again. When properly loaded and using the premium soap pods, the dishes are spotless, even backed on greasy pans.

Can't believe how it cleans and very quiet. This is my 3rd kitchenaid dishwasher. They just keep getting better and better. The 3rd rack is huge!

We like the third tray, where you can load smaller. The dishwasher is very quite and cleans the dishes very well. We like the controls on the outside of the door.

Absolutely love this dishwasher!!! Never had one with the 3rd rack & love that feature plus this one is so quiet compared to the Whirlpool I had. Have only used the ability to move the rack up/down for the middle rack that offers more room for larger items on bottom, but it was definitely a plus. Would recommend!

Absolutely the best dishwasher I have ever owned. SO MUCH SPACE! The third rack can be used for coffee mugs and glasses leaving extra space for bowls, small plates and small pots on the second rack leaving the bottom rack for your larger pots and pans, cutting boards and dinner plates. Everything is clean and dry when the cycle is complete. AND ITS SO QUIET!!

Quiet, cleans really well, love the third shelf for small utensils and other items. The prowash is excellent for figuring out how much water to use. The dishes are squeaky clean. I did a lot of research before I purchased a new dishwasher and found the KitchenAid to be a top competitor to other dishwashers. Thank you!

This is my first brand new dishwasher and I am over the moon! It whispers when it's washing dishes. I can barely hear it when it's on. It does an AMAZING job of cleaning my dishes and never do I see food or water spots. I highly recommend this model!!!!
