I was hoping to have the same quality dishwasher as I had with my previous Kitchenaid dishwasher that I had for over 10 years. No such luck! I bought this at Best Buy without seeing the actual model that I purchased. I mistakenly thought that the one I would receive would be comparable to the one that I owned & a step above the models they had on the floor. The dividers in the utensils basket of my previous one were of a heavy plastic that stayed in place or could be folded up. These dividers won't even stay in the little grooves that are suppose to hold them & are a pain when you are trying to load & unload utensils. The holes are also different shapes & sizes making it like a jigsaw puzzle when loading it. The racks are spaced differently as well & do not hold as many dishes as my previous one even though description claimed it would hold as many. My husband even went so far as to go back to our recycle center to see if he could get my old racks & baskets back out of my old dishwasher he had taken there the day before. I don't know if this is a different quality kitchenaid dishwasher because it came from Best Buy or if they have gone down in quality this much even if I had gotten Kitchenaid from a kitchen appliance specialty store. If the quality of all of their appliances have gone down this much I will not be purchasing any more! A shame since I bought all Kitchenaid applianceswhen we remodeled kitchen over 10 years ago & I have been satisfied until replacing the dishwasher! I only wish I could return this one or get the better racks, utensils baskets & nets like my old one had to put in this one. Guess I should have paid the $250 to have my old one fixed!

I did lots of research on the web and hands on. I chose this one. It's quite, cleans dishes well, is easy to use and looks nice. But watch out. The top rack broke. It attaches to 4 rollers with plastic tabs that run along extension arms. The tabs broke on all 4 rollers by the 8th month and the top rack comes right off. We have another KitchenAid appliance that had issues from the get-go. I think this will be my last KitchenAid product. Gotta call warranty now. Wish me luck.

We bought this dishwasher about a year ago. It leaves the dishes filmy and gritty. We have Jet Dry in it and have started to try boosting it with OxiClean for dishwashers--to no avail. The stainless steel front panel stains easily with grime and you canNOT polish the stains away! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER
