Great I'm happy with my purchase so far it's working great

I have had to replace the evaporator fan motor and defrost system twice now in less than 2 years. At $650 per repair this is a waste of a fridge.

Nothing but trouble. Issues within the first year under warranty that have persisted out of warranty. 3 years in buying another new refrigerator--not a KitchenAid!

This product was purchased 29 months ago and has officially quit. Nothing is covered under the normal warranty and, based on other reviews online, the circuit board has an inherent design flaw that fails after a short period. Kitchenaid used to have an amazing reputation...things have changed. Research online reviews BEFORE purchasing this product. I wish we had. The other kitchen appliances that are due to be replaced will not be Kitchenaid for this family.

We did not purchase extended warranty for this refrigerator, which it scares me a little. I love this refrigerator, love all the space and that it is gray from the inside. The LED lights, are amazing. BUT, we have about 5 months with this refrigerator and all of the sudden the lights do not turn on. It has happened twice, they have came to fix it at no cost. Second time around I was told that an additional part had to be placed to contro the LED lights. Which none of this I was told, hoping this does not happen again, since it was not a cheap fridge.

Far and away the worst appliance I have ever owned: 1) Periodically it runs very noisily 2) If the refrigerator door is left open for more that a brief moment, the ice in the bin begins to melt and fuses together and must be dumped 3) I have replaced the ice maker four times in the six years I have owned this refrigerator. Ridiculous for any unit but especially one in this price bracket I attempted to contact customer service to discuss the fourth replacement of the ice maker but simply received a form letter indicating that they have no obligation once the warranty runs out. With all the other manufacturer models available, select from one of those!

We bought this refrigerator when we remodeled our kitchen two years ago. We checked all the reviews and thought this brand would have the least amount of repairs. Well, we were wrong! We've had the repairman out twice in two years. The last repair was when the motor on the icemaker went out. Fortunately, we bought the extended warranty so we didn't have to pay for the parts or repairs. My recommendation is to BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY! It shouldn't be that way, but believe me it is, unfortunately.

I originally bought the door in door Samsung model and after replacing that twice because the seals leaked I thought I was doing an upgrade getting this KitchenAid. Well I was wrong, as I type this review the Geek Squad repair man (who now knows my wife and three kids by name) is working on repairing it again. This is the 6th or 7th time Geek Squad has been here for this fridge. It takes 4 times of the exact same repair before you get the voucher to get a new item from Best Buy but I am not worried because they have to come about every other month so I'm sure I will eventually be able to get this nightmare out of my house. Every time the repair men come they have to remove all of the drawers and food from the fridge and take it all apart and steam all of the ice out of the back of the fridge. This ice build up is crazy and will cause several different issues with the fridge. It will not cool your food and it makes a really loud noise since it restricts the movement of a fan inside the motor. Apparently this is a dual cool fridge and there is no heat element in it to do the defrosting because that would make it less energy efficient and that is the problem. Just a bunch of ice build up in your fridge.

Fridge works very well. Delivery was on time and setup was easy. Would recommend this product and Brand.

Fit and finish are excellent, showing good quality control at the factory. Performance is exactly as advertised.
