Customers are impressed with the overall functionality of the 30" Built-In Gas Cooktop. However, some customers found the placement of the simmer burner inconvenient, noting that its front-left position interferes with using other burners. They suggest relocating it to the back for improved workflow. Better placement of the simmer burner would enhance the user experience.

''This cooktop is sleek looking and has a nice powerful flame. Knobs are nice. Glass cooktop cleans easily. I have two criticisms-- the simmer burner should be located in the back so you can use the other burner while you have something on simmer. Also, the downdraft fan is so powerful even on low that it sucks half your flame away from the burner. Stupid design.

I love my new KitchenAid stovetop..It is what I needed with the downdraft feature and it was expertly and efficiently installed by Best Buy professional installers who were courteous, fast and timely! Very satisfied with my salesperson, Parker, and my installers, Lindale and Micah!

The stove is beautiful when you can keep the glass clean. It cooks beautifully but I wish the "big" burner was in the back and a regular one in the front, It's odd to heat and cook with the average item on the back because the front two burners are the simmer and big pot burners. It didn't come with a cleaner sample and I have yet to find anything that works well.

Wow! When I first came home after this cooktop had been installed, all I could say was wow. It's so gorgeous. And once I got to cooking on it, I was in love. The downdraft is great and I love the various sizes of the burners. The burners all light quickly and burn evenly. I don't have anything bad to say about this cooktop.

So far, very happy with the purchase. The cooktop surface is slightly difficult to clean as it leaves streak marks when wiped with damp sponge.

I've been using this cooktop for several months now and I'm already looking to replace it. It looks nice, but that's about as far as my compliments go with this appliance unfortunately.
First, the simmer burner is in a bad spot (front left). It should have been positioned in the back. When you are cooking multiple items it becomes extremely frustrating.
Second, the surface is ceramic...which makes for a nice looking appliance out of the box, but in terms of practicality and keeping it clean...it is not a great choice for a gas range. Ceramic makes sense for an electric range because the burners are beneath the glass, so you can easily clean the surface. The gas burners sit on-top of the surface on this cooktop, which makes it harder to wipe down and keep clean. Not easy to articulate in a review and may not seem like a big deal as you're reading this...but in reality it's a huge pain and the stove always looks dirty as a result.
Last, the downdraft system isn't great...mostly because it negativity effects the performance of the burners, especially on the high setting. This is an inherent problem on most downdraft systems, but seems especially bad on this one. Also the plastic knob to control the fan is of much lower quality than the burner knobs...and already it has cracked in one place making it harder to turn the fan on/off. UGH.

There aren't any options to replace those old JennAir Units, but this one is the most elegant looking and works like a charm. The price was right and the Best Buy installers did an excellent job except for the nasty cut on his finger.
