Its a toaster, and it toasts nicely, at a few different levels. Practice allows you to figure out what setting works best for you (my advice: start low... I burnt my first slice of bread at level 4! The wide slot is very convenient if you are an amateur of boule or other large bread slices. But more importantly, it's a really clean, solid, beautiful counter-top appliance. A bit retro in its design, this toaster works well in a modern kitchen.

This is a well made toaster. I’ve had mine for many years and it shows no wear and tear. The slots are wide enough for bagels, and long enough to put a couple slices in the same side. The dial allows you to adjust the temp if you like your food toasted lighter or darker. It has a preset bagel button, a defrost button, and a handy keep warm button.

Gotta love being able to toast two bagels at the same time. Even better, long slices of sourdough! This toaster is a lot bigger in profile than I expected but for me it's a good thing.

I love this toaster and all the options it has. The only thing is it takes longer to toast dense bread like pumpernickel or heavy rye. Long slots fits any bakery bread and the width fits all thicker bagels

been waiting for a toaster that fits todays custom sized bakery goods. this one fits the bill perfectly, just set it and forget it. works great every time. cleaning is a breeze, and the pop up bar keeps your fingers from getting toasted as well. great company, great product. i highly recommend kitchen aid products.

Overall this is a really nice toaster. The design is clean and it looks great just being left on the counter. I really like that it has the over sized slots for making toast from non-standard bread. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because there is no in between setting on the timer. So 3 is a bit under, but 4 is over.

Toaster makes it convenient to toast everyone's bread at same time. Used to have to wait in shifts for bread to be done and by the time everyone sat down, meals were getting cold. Only complaint is that sometimes half the bread is well done and the other half is very lightly toasted. Appearance is great, fits well with kitchen decor.

This is exactly what I was looking for - two oversized slots for toasting Wide enough for bagels and long enough for oval slices of French bread etc. The only downside is the plug and cord seem to be oversized and may protrude from your outlet

I did a lot of research on a toaster and so far I am pleased with my decision. I definitely needed a long slot version. Still getting used to the settings, but it seems to do a nice, even job. Its very nice looking and feels well made.

This toaster is great! It fits 4 slices of bread perfectly and since i enjoy sourdough bread..it fits nicely into this one unlike other standard size toasters. Sleek look also!

First off toaster is fast and uniform. Frozen waffles to bread will fit. Really impressed with the size of toasting slot. 4 slices of bread fit easily. Add bonus is the removable crumb tray.
