I had no desire to invest a fortune, but wanted decent engineering and ease of use. Mainly, for smoothies and pureeing the soups that I like to create. We could not be more pleased. Picked up a second blend jar and lid. Very glad that I did.

I had been reviewing this blender for quite some time and just editing for the right sale. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. It works great! It has the quality feel of a kitchenaid appliance and blends in great with my other appliances.

My wife loves it,,rks great and simple to use..Red color matches the rest of her red Kitchenaid appliances!! now we are just trying to find the cheaper 12 cup red Kitchenaid coffee maker..nt find one anywhere.

I make a shake every morning for breakfast and my old blender had chunks of ice in it constantly. This one blends for just a few seconds and it's completely blended. Lots of options which I love and sleek.

I purchased this blender after not being satisfied with a competing brand. My first impression is that the Kitchenaid does a better job of liquefying the ingredients. It is also much quieter than the blender I had before it. While the wattage rating is lower than the one I exchanged for it, it still seems to do a better job. The other blender had very sharp blades affixed to a removable "tree" in the middle of the blender jar. It just wasn't a good design. I have two minor complaints about the Kitchenaid Diamond blender. If you take the shortcut of blending soap and water to clean, be sure not to fill the jar too full as the "fill" cap on the top of the lid is not water tight. My other complaint is that the blender jar feels slightly loose when attached to the base. It doesn't seem to impact the performance of the blender, but I would like a more positive "snap" when the blender jar is attached.

I had smaller KitchenAid countertop appliances. I gave those to my son and upgraded to the larger ones. Love the blender, but be careful when you wash it because the blade and pitcher are all one piece.

We got this for milkshakes and smoothies and it works flawlessly another great Kitchen Aid product..

I had a brand new Oster blender -when I tried to crush some ice-it did a terrible job so I started looking around and researched and had other kitchenaid products- so studied reviews and specs and went to Best Buy picked the diamond blender up took it home and put some ice in it and in the crush ice mode and it was awesome and made snow ice-love the power and the soft start motor. Love it !
