This product is loud as other reviewers have indicated. However, it is NOT a high-fidelity system -- Expect some distortion. The lack of a power button is a huge design flaw.

Far More Than Just Computer Speakers

I know this product is advertised as a "computer audio system," but I was so thoroughly impressed with its sound quality and volume that I purchased it as a replacement to the shelf stereo system I was using in my living room. I got it home, set it up and ran my iPod through it, and wow - my living room sounded like a dance club! You can't even imagine the level of volume and bass this thing has until you try it out within the acoustics of a room. The bass is extremely deep and smooth with no distortion. Unlike a lot of these 2.1 systems, this unit has loud, clear mids, and the highs are brilliant and detailed. I can't believe how awesome this set is, and I've been suggesting it to my friends and coworkers all day because I'm so blown away. When I was at the store, I did my usual test: I turned the subwoofer all the way down and just listened to the satellites. Try this with a few lower-quality units and you'll notice the lack of clarity and volume. Try it with the Klipsch and it still sounds great! Even the satellites have a small amount of thump to them and would be suitable speakers on their own, and that, to me, is what sets this apart from the others. Then mix in some of that rich subwoofer bass and you've got raw power. Whether you want new computer speakers or replacement to that early '00s shelf system, Buy this set!

    AMAZING SPEAKERS!!!

I normally do not write reviews, however these speakers were amazing. I have had them for a while and sound quality is AMAZING... blows Bose speakers out of the water. I initially bought the BOSE computer speakers and was extremely disappointed and took them back to the store the same day. A friend of mine who is also a musician suggested this brand and I haven't looked back since. The volume is phoneminal. I have my sound up 1/4 of the way and it's plenty loud. My sub is up about half way and is extremely powerful it doesn't even have to be up that much, just like feeling the music as well as hearing it. I'm extremely picky when it comes to sound for my music. These speakers by far have exceeded my expectations and would suggest this for anyone who wants to get "blown away" but of course in a good way :o)

I was a little surprised when I saw the sub had hookups for normal speak wire, not computer standard 1/8 jacks. I was pleased in the store, but didn't understand how incredible these things could be until I got home and really cranked them. I personally enjoy the sub turned down a bit from the suggested white dot area where I think Klipsch is telling you the sweet spot is (it definitely sounds incredible at that level and is a LITTLE degraded above and below it...). Would definitely recommend these speakers, I feel like I got a great deal at $150.

Not as good as my Denon home theater system. But that's not how I am use these speakers. For attaching to my computer to play Pandora and Jukebox, they produce some really decent sounds with adequate bass. I am very pleased. The system was easy to set up. The two sound adjustment buttons are on the front of the main satellite and are easy to adjust. The satellite speakers are relatively small but quite heavy, like they probably contain good quality components. The subwoofer is bigger than I expected (which is a good thing if you have room for it) and it can be adjusted to vibrate the floor. I experimented with my laptop, desktop, and netbook. As you'd expect, the sound drivers really matter! It was easy to switch back and forth between computers, because there is just one wire from computer to subwoofer.

WOW, WOW, WOW what a find

I was searching for something more compact as far as speakers go, almost a mini surround sound, well I wasn't disappointed at all! These are computer 2.1 speakers right? They are and more, you can hook up any portable media device, tv, etc with these! and I will tell you this, they are LOUD, the BASS is deep, the treble is great. I use these to watch a blu ray movie with my PS3, play video games perfect for RB3, also I plug my portable android device, ipad, or any portable media player, these are awesome. And yes, if you are looking for something compact and wanting some surround sound action, you won't go wrong with these! They do go on sale from time to time so keep your eye out for price change at your local Best Buy. Now if there was a CON, I would have to say that the only way to turn them off...is unplug them from the wall outlet, Now on the demo unit at Best buy it had a switch on the back of the sub you could turn on or off...HUH? Go get this U will LUV IT!!!

    Awesome Computer Speakers

Bought it a few hours ago from my local store and all I can say is WOW. It seemed a bit pricy to me for a set of 2.1 computer speakers, but once you get it home and up and running with music playing you'll know why they are about $150 bucks. There worth every cent too in my opinion. The sound is wickedly crazy. Its very loud, puts out deep bass, and doesn't muffle even when you have it cranked (bass level, not speaker level) all the way up. I am glad I bought these for my iMac. The speakers were plenty loud that were built in, but when listening to music and watching dvd's or something you want the full affect. If you are looking for replacement speakers so you can get rid of your old stock speakers then this is a must buy. It may seem a bit expensive if your on a budget like a lot are, but once you buy it you'll be glad you did.

I recently bought the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speaker system, and all I can say is WOW! These are, without a doubt, the best sounding speakers I have ever heard. I have owned 2 sets of the Logitech Z623 speakers and had problems with both sets, so I decided to try these out. The sound that these monsters produce is just outstanding. The bass is very precise and NOT boomy, the mids are great, and the highs are crisp and clean, even at loud volumes. Yes, they are a bit on the pricy side if you cannot find them on sale, but they are worth EVERY penny! So, if you are wanting to upgrade to a great 2.1 system, look no further. I will definitely buy from Klipsch in the future!

Speakers look nice but I was not very impressed with the sound. I have to keep the bass tuned off. It has a lot of vibration. I was told these were equal to a Bose system.

    Surprisingly good

I've had these speakers for a few years and love them. I rarely write reviews but felt this one to be necessary as this is a true story. A friend of mine threw a party at a rented hall. She asked me to provide sound and on the night of the event I brought my home stereo and my iPod. I had connected my iPod to my stereo at home before but had never turned the receiver up to a volume that would be necessary for a large room with at least 80 people in it. At the party I had to push the wattage to the limit to get the volume needed but every time I did the receiver would overload and cut off. I quickly drove home and grabbed my Klipsch speakers. Being in a hurry, I didn't take the time to break down the stereo system I had originally brought and just set the satellite speakers on top of my JBL towers and the subwoofer under the table holding the receiver. I always thought these things sounded great in my home but I couldn't believe how loud they could really get if needed without sacrificing sound quality. Many complimented me on the sound but not a single one of them figured out that the sound wasn't coming from the JBL towers. I told a few people what was happening and they were blown away. Some wouldn't believe me until I told them to put their hands in front of the towers and they felt no vibration. I highly recommend you check them out. For the money you can't really beat them.

    Perfection

The sound is absolute perfection. The bass is unbelievable. It can hit the high notes as well with not a hint of distortion. I put a towel under the speakers on a shelf above my computer desk to avoid any movement and vibration. The sub woofer sits underneath my desk on a rug. I can't even listen to music on my MP3 player anymore now that I know what perfect sound sounds like. Absolutely worth the price. One oddity is that there is no off switch. The 'on' lite stays lit. However, there is no heat anywhere. Sub woofer is as cool as can be so there has been no issue. Have owned the product for 6 months.. Easy install - just plug into your headphone slot on your computer. SO GLAD I SPENT THE MONEY! You could get something fairly decent for $75 or absolute perfection for $150. The bass is the kicker. It booms. I can feel the burst of air from the sub woofer on my ankles - and I like it. When I demo it for friends they are knocked out by the power of the bass. Despite the German sounding name - it's an American family owned company.

Looked into these speakers based on the huge number of positive reviews. I went to the store and compared them side by side to some Bose speakers. While the Bose speakers have more clarity, these are extremely powerful and come with a sub-woofer. Set up was very easy, they had plenty of cord length. Nicely built table speakers even came with soft protective feet stickies to place on the bottom so you don't scratch your desk. Controls for the volume and bass right at your fingertips. Great, powerful speakers for not a lot of money.

PROS: -AWESOME sound -Super-crisp highs that dont get messy when you crank them -Subwoofer is better than ANY i have heard on a sub-$400 speaker system -AWESOME bass from subwoofer -Mids aren't the best ive ever heard, but the awesome-ness of the highs and lows make up for it -2.1 may be a drawback for some, but the sound is better than ive heard of any 5.1 or 2.1 system under $400. You get really loud, powerful, clear sound out of only 2 speakers and a sub -Install is very very very easy - Plug 'n play CONS -You can only hook these guys up to one thing at a time - bummer. OVERALL -Buy them, u wont regret it

I have had these speakers for a few years now and I can say they hold up awesome. For there size they sound clean, crisp and powerful, and they get really loud. The only way they could be better is if they made a 5.1 set for gaming. As far as computer speakers go you won't find a better setup. Including anything Logitech has.
