I bought these, because I was forced to. We remodeled and with it came a built in that had no accommodations for the Polk floor standing speakers and accommodating center and rear speakers. I used to get a lot of complements on the old setup, so while I liked everything about our remodel, I was in no way thrilled about downsizing my speakers. Well, such is life, so I read review after review about all small speakers and a few were impressive, but nothing said I was going to love them. I saw the reviews for the quintet and thought nothing could be that impressive, but in was out of options and these seemed worth a try. If I didn't hate them, I could most likely live with them. I was a bit disappointed with the connection terminals, and the fact that heavier gauge wires are tough to attach, but a bit of solder on the tips and I got 12 gauge wire to fit. Now for the sound.... Wow! These things can put out some sound. I have my old Polk PSW505 sub running with them and my first impression was that nothing, absolutely nothing was missing! As a matter of fact, like some have said, there's more to my music than I was hearing. I thought the previous reviewers were comparing them to their previous junky speakers, but I was comparing them to Highly rated Polk R40 towers and F/X300i rears. The klipsch leave nothing out. I cranked them and kept cranking, till It was way too load and no break up, just full, rich, clear sound. I don't miss my Polks one bit. These things sound even better. Absolutely amazing. I can't even say amazing for their size. I haven't heard a pair of compact speakers this clear and smooth, ever. Thank you Klipsch. Now the wife has the look she wants and me the sound I want. Best of both worlds. Did I mention I don't miss my old speakers?

I wanted to clear out the clutter of my current JBL speakers, I felt engulfed by speakers. It’s really hard to gauge how something is going mesh up against your current system, and for the price it’s not like you’re going to frequently swap out speakers. Do it right the first time. I was on the fence about buying a sound bar and ditching my dated 7.1 system. After much debating and reading I swapped out my receiver for a new 5.1 Denon stereo. I still felt like I couldn’t hear movie dialog or sounds ping ponging around me with my current speakers. I bought the Klipsch - Quintet 5.0 speakers and was absolutely amazed. You can’t expect to truly hear superb sound with an old receiver + new speakers or in my case a new receiver + old speakers. Klipsch - Quintet 5.0 box was heavy and the speakers are small I removed all my big harry JBLs and got the clutter out! It’s a very odd perception you would expect the sound from each speaker to be to be coming from this massive box thing. If you are on the fence trust me I replaced my towers, center, rears, satellites, and sub with these five amazing speakers! You can hear everything the way it was meant to be heard!

I am a big home theater Enthusiast And sound is very important to me. After hooking up these speakers and briefly playing them through a couple of Blu-rays I noticed the sound is much bigger than you would imagine. Very clear and absolutely no distortion this system delivers an amazing experience you would only find in a movie theater. I set this speaker system up in my dedicated theater room which used to consist of Much bigger speakers From Polk. Not only is this system very small and aesthetically pleasing the sound will blow your mind. If you are in the market for a small but very noticeable home theater system the Klipsch quintet is just the right system for you. For the money you can't beat this system and you will Notice a difference in any movie you watch prior to watching the movie with this system. Make the right choice and go with the fifth-generation Klipsch home theater system you will not be disappointed.

well, i finally got a chance to get me a set of the small yet incredible sounding Klipsch Quintet 5.0 surround sound speakers. they are the 2012 model satellite speakers and boy am i happy with them. the price was a bit hefty but you honestly get what you pay for. the satellites are well built, and have a ported 1.5 inch hole in the back of the speaker to give you a deeper bass response. the tweeter in the front sounds incredible and gives you superb clarity for voice and music. the mid range speakers sound excellent as well and give you good mid bass sound. a sub woofer how ever would be required if you want to have a boomy sound for your movie watching experience, my only complaint is that klipsch does not sell additional speakers separately so that you can build a 7.1 surround sound system. but other than that i have no complaints at all. if you have not heard them yet, please stop by your local best buy and see if they have them on display to test out. you will be surprised when you hear the amazing sound coming from such a small package.

This Klipsch Quintet was experimental for me. I sold my Bose satellite speakers due to the fact that I loved the demonstrations that are conducted at Best Buy. These speakers had more full range sound than the Bose. These speakers by themselves are very sharp and have good over all mid range and high range sounds. I'm very impressed with the design and fluidity of the horn tweeters. The directional design disseminates the sound of the highs in every direction. This is an outstanding setup to have for home theater if paired with a good subwoofer. I would not recommend these speakers if no subwoofer is attached to your home theater. I also would not suggest using this for music very much. Movies are perfect though and pack huge sound, even with a 50 watt RMS rating (200 peak). The size fit my living room quite well, and was a general improvement from my Bose system. This is a good package that's affordable and can fit even in a smaller living room that doesn't take over sound space with too much sound.

this was one of the speaker systems i had considered along with def techs and sonos. the sonos cost 2k and according to customer service don't work well with projection systems. the def techs cost $600 but come with a throw-a-way subwoofer. the klips were $550 (open box $411) with no sub, so it came down to the def techs or klips with the purchase of a sub. i thought i might make up my mind and choose/purchase one this coming weekend, so while on my break today i went browsing around best buy and saw a single box of klips for $275. i thought it must be damaged since open box cost more according to their site, but the saleswoman assured me they're new, so my choice was made. got them home and sure enough they're brand new. considering i was willing to spend twice as much, i felt like i stole something. that sparked a spending spree and i purchased 2 def tech subs (model 2000) on sale for $450ea and the panasonic 4k player. best buy is full of pleasant surprises.

Having purchased a new Sony Receiver and Klipsch subwoofer, I new it was time to upgrade my old Yama ha HTIB speakers. The difference is night and day. The sound is so much... more. Clearer. Sweeter. Fuller. The difference is profound. They are 8ohm speakers, so they will push your reciever. They are efficent, so almost any reciever will be fine. So I found a store that sold the Quintet V center channels individually and bought 2 to complete my 7.2. Home Theater. These speakers made me grow up. No more ghetto Home Theater. I ran my speaker wire in-wall. I invested in a 3 chair home theater type furniture. And all this has me thinking... The improvement based on just speakers alone... what happens if I buy a Marantz SR5009? So that is next. Then the 4K TV upgrade... Pretty soon, I won't be leaving the house at all.

I had a Sony 1000 watt surround sound Home Theatre In a Box, My son turned a 5 disk dvd player into a 8 disk player (receiver trashed)...... That system wasn't interchangeable, so I set out for a new system. I bought the Bose Cinemate system. Movies sounded great but I play alot of music on my home theatre speakers and the Bose Cinemate system had no highs.. everything was just blah.. it sounded good. wasn't crisp at all. But just wasn't happy for the money i spent. So I Returned it and bought the Klipsch quintet speakers with a pioneer (100watt# sub and yamaha #575watt) receiver. What an Awesome system.. The Klipsch speakers are so clear and crisp, the movies sound awesome, you hear every little noise, the music is so clear, you can turn it up till your neighbors complain with no distortion .. I couldn't be happier with the Klipsch speakers, they are amazing, I love them. The sub is nice, but would like to upgrade down the road.

Got these when they went on sale for $349 to replace some perfectly working JBL satellite speakers. I really didn't expect much of a sound difference, but as soon as I hooked up the center channel speaker...WOW...I could not believe what a difference in sound, clear, clean and much more detailed. I was so impressed I bought two more sets before they went off of sale. Keep in mind they do need a sub if you want to have the full movie theater experience. The only challenge that I have with these was the wall mounting. The mounts that BB sells look cheap and are made of plastic. They also make the speaker stick four to five inches away from the wall. Going online I found mounts but they were pretty expensive at $20-30 each. Found some okay mounts at Walmart for $9 a pair, not as quality as the BB ones but only made the speakers stick out three inches.

Reference amplifier: Marantz SR-5006. This set of speakers comes down to size vs output. From cutoff up, they are good. Well worth the price of admission. When any manufacturer stands behind their product for 5 years, speakers or not, that just says something to me. At the end of the day, it will cost approximately $100 per year to own these speakers. (unless you got them on sale $55yr) No room for towers (or wife is mad) + Within budget = Run to BB. I have to get this off my chest. Bose is like McDonald's food. Everyone knows about it, but no one wants to eat it. Take a risk. Buy something that wasn't hypnotized into your brain. Seriously. And learn how to yield into traffic.

For starters, I love Klipsch speakers. I have had RF3 towers for years. I got these for my office/den because I trust the brand and their size fits much better in small rooms than bookshelf speakers. They are SOLID. I have owned speakers bigger than these in the past that weighed substantially less. If you hang them on a wall, make sure you anchor your screw properly. Connections were made fairly easy. Push the pin in and insert the wire. Nothing fancy and no worrying about tightening binding posts. These won't surpass having your traditional giant speakers, assuming they are of good quality, but they will fill a room, or a house, with crisp sound.

My brother-in-law owned Klipsch speakers in the 80s that were the size of small cars, but the sound they made was awesome. I never thought I would be able to afford this top-of-the-line name brand, until I saw these at Best Buy. After I read the reviews online, I was convinced I could get the same great sound in these small speakers. I hooked them up to my home theater system, and I was not disappointed. The quality comes through loud and clear, but the speakers are very small and can be placed anywhere. This was a great purchase, and they were even on sale!

I just got a great deal at Best Buy on these Klipsh speakers as they were on sale. Incredible value for the quality of this speaker system. I already had an older version of these in my master bedroom and just added them to my basement family room along with a new Denon receiver and Vizio smart tv. WOW Love it. You can not beat these little speakers for value, you more than get your moneys worth with these. They fill up any standard size room with ease. I just wish my wife would let me crank them to their full potential lol

We recently "downsized;" the previous set of speakers that I owned were simply too bulky for the room in which I have my entertainment system. Thinking "small" I tried an Energy sound bar. It was OK, but just didn't deliver a sound that approached my previous speaker system. Then, on a recent visit to Best Buy I was browsing at the speakers that were on display. That is when I discovered the Quintet. The size was perfect for our new environment. A sales person demonstrated the system: the sound was impressive. The sound was equally is impressive on my system at home. I am not an audiophile and claim no expertise, but for me this was certainly a worthwhile purchase.

I'm personally really disappointed with Best Buy's speaker choices. They don't really have as many kits as you'd expect nowadays, and I blame this sound bar generation for taking up their inventory space. That said, I previewed these speakers at my local store where they had them set up, and I was really impressed. So I took them home, set them up, and these things blow me away. They don't look like much, but their sound is crisp, loud, and clear. Amazing for the price. Amazing at twice the price.

For years I have been a Bose fan. I have a Bose Acoustimass 10 series 3. I kept hearing about Klipsch and read many reviews. I ordered the Klipsch quintent intended to try them and more than likely returning them. After hearing them in action, I was blown away at the clarity, power and overall sound. I already had a Polk PSW505 powered sub. The combination of Klipsch and the sub woofer is why the Bose is in the closet where they will stay. Sound is equal to, if not better, than the Bose for a lot less money. I caught them on sale from Best Buy at half price. I am extremely happy with Klipsch.

My wife did a bunch of research, and ultimately, bought these for my birthday. At first, I was a little wary of them, as I was used to the speakers that came with my Yamaha Receiver back in 2002. Those were smaller almost cube like speakers. These are definitely Speakers (big S). I play a great deal of video games, movies, netflix, and tv, and these speakers were playing back noises I hadn't heard during my old set. Originally, I thought they were tinny, but turns out my older speakers are a little bassy. With the subwoofer (8") we acquired as well, the sound around the entertainment area is incredible.

Surprising sound for relatively small speakers. My circumstances were that I already had a sound system, so I did not need a separate sub-woofer. After trying some other products, I am very pleased with the purchase. I particularly am amazed at the improved sound quality for my CD music collection, such that I am listing to old favorites and hearing things I never heard before. An additional consideration is that the additional depth provided by the added five speakers permits listening at a lower volume without compromising the depth of the music field.

Let's be honest. If you have a large, dedicated home theater room, these speakers are not for you. If you are like most people and your theater system resides in your family room and is used by the everyone for for tv, movies, sports and video games, these speakers are great. The sound is nothing short of amazing and the compact size blends in perfectly with the space. These replaced an old set of JBL speakers that were twice the size, and were paired with a new Klipsch subwoofer and a Sony receiver. The sound is twice as good as before. No regrets on my purchase.

Bought this 5th generation if the quintet a few. Days ago and am impressed with the difference between the last version. Sound quality is impressive and the center channel is much clearer and crisp. The surround sound envelops you and music sounds better to on these. Pair with a good receiver and you will not be disappointed. Highly reccomend. Better than polk or bose. They do not come with table stands so you can mount them easier.
