I bought mine for a complete 7.2 surround sound system. I have not yet mounted them for height speakers but I use them for my surround sound. They sound fantastic but are a little more towards the pricey side.

Nice sound. I wish their footprint was big enough to fit the top of the tower speakers to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

They sound great but are slightly overpiced. Good purchase if they are on sale which the rarely are.

This is my first time using a Dolby Atmos speaker, and what a great addition to my existing 5.1 setup this is. It's amazing how much more immersed you feel with the height speakers installed. Initial setup is about as easy as any other speaker setup. Plug them in, and put them on top of your from tower speakers angled towards the viewer. These Klipsch speakers were designed to reflect off of the ceiling and bounce back to the viewer. This means that if you have high ceilings then these speakers just won't work that well. You can switch the configuration to use as surround speakers if you'd like; There's a switch on the back that allows you to do so. As far as configuration goes, I had to mess around it for a while before I got it to where I liked. You really have to up the volume on them compared to your other speakers since they have to reflect off your ceiling. Once I got them to where they were satisfactory, it made all the difference in my movies. I was hearing sounds that I never paid attention to come to life above my head. These speakers to a great job at producing clean, crisp sounds so all the effects are clearly heard. Whether you are new to the Dolby Atmos experience like me, or a veteran looking for an upgrade, these Klipsch speakers are the ones to get. If you want to have your movie experience go to the next level, then these speakers will get you there.

These speakers are designed to be placed on top of tower speakers, firing sound up at the ceiling to be reflected down on the listening area, giving one the impression of sounds coming from above. This is to save the installation difficulty of retrofitting speakers into an existing ceiling. While they do a pretty good job in this capacity, in-ceiling speakers would do the job much better if the room and budget allow. The speakers also have keyhole mounting on the bottom, allowing the speakers to be wall mounted as traditional height or surround speakers. The horn-loaded titanium tweeters faithfully reproduce high pitched sounds down to the most subtle detail. Insects and crickets sound just as they would on an evening walk in the woods. The wind sounds life-like and true. The woofers produce the midrange and lower frequency sounds well, although those are more limited in this role. The piano black finish is excellent and looks fantastic with the copper-colored woofers and trim rings. The magnetic grills allow one to quickly switch between the exposed driver look or a more subtle look with the drivers hidden from view. Overall, the speakers are excellent and sound great. If you are looking for Atmos sound without the installation hassle of in-ceiling speakers, these Klipsch are a great choice.

Some people say that Atmos technology is a gimmick. I disagree. I have tested these Atmos surround speakers thoroughly and can tell you that you can hear how they work. The first thing to keep in mind is what you will need to experience Atmos. You need a 4k receiver that decodes Dolby Atmos and Dolby Atmos content such as 4k blue ray. When paired together right, these speakers will shine. These speakers actually reflect sound off your ceiling to make you need sound all around where you are seated, and yes they actually do just that. I have them mounted on top of my Klipsch floor standing speakers connected to a Pioneer Elite receiver. I then watched Spiderman Homecoming in 4k. I physically crossed over between these speakers and my old surround speakers by changing the wires in the back of the receiver. The difference is night and day. These produce reflecting sound that fills the room more that traditional surround mounted speakers. I love having these when watching movies in the home theater. I recommend these speakers for anyone who is serious about their home theater setup. These are worth every penny for the detailed sound they produce.

If you are looking to surround yourself with theater quality sound and immerse yourself into the movie then these speakers will do absolutely that! I placed them on the ceiling behind my listening position and it is incredible. Watching Atmos enabled movies makes home theater experience on a whole different level then your typical Atmos soundbar. You feel as if bullets are flying above your head or those voices coming from the movie are really in your head. It's crazy to talk about but even crazier to listen to. I would recommend these speakers to everyone looking to upgrade their home theater experience.

I am not a person who normally installs systems like this, so I had to get a person who does to help me. The speaker's is really good for the hardcore movie watchers because it really gives you the at the movie feel. I was amazed at some of the sounds of movies I watch previously that I never noticed were there when I first seen it! This made the movie that much more enjoyable for me and my kids! They too were amazed at all the little sounds they can hear! I would definitely recommend this speaker to add to any system that you have and I bet it makes a difference!

These height speakers are they Atmos cherry on top for any home theater! They make everything come alive!

I'm using these in a Dolby Atmos setup where these are firing up toward the ceiling, while sitting on top of my front right and left speakers. I never imagined that they could really complete the sound by reflecting off the ceiling, but they definitely do. They also accentuate the sound when not handling "effect" in a surround sound level movie.
