I am slowly building my system 2 speakers at a time. I have a 7.1 system I am doing two speakers at a time. I have already purchased two of these for my rear speakers and the rp-250c and a 12 inch sub. The rp-150m is very clear sounding speaker and great for mids very efficient for its size. It doesn't have quite the lows as the rp-160m but the rp-150m does not need the clearance behind it for the port maybe only 2 to 3 inches. I have heard many of the new reference line I can say for the price difference the reference premier line is well worth the difference in price just wait till the reference premier goes on sale the normally do about two to three times a year. Now I just have to save up for the floor standing speakers.

I am slowly replacing my five year old Polk speakers that are decent. I have a 7.1 surround with a Denon avr-3300w. I used these as rear speakers I have these the rp-250c and the Klipsch 12 inch sub. I still have the Polk towers and side speakers so almost half way there. I will say that the sound on the Klipsch reference premier is way better then the Polk's I have and any Polk's and the lower quality reference Klipsch's that I listened to in store. The sound on Klipsch reference premier is very clean and clear even at normal listening levels I am hearing things I didn't hear before. I did take one star away for the price even though at the normal price these are a high quality speakers I know that there are better speakers but not at this price. So the price for value is decent and it's like anything else you get what you pay for. I did get them on sale as much as these cost I can't justify full price for me not that there not worth it ,it's just a big investment with a 7.1 and may go 7.2. Now I just need two more book self's and two towers. I do wish they would have put the port on the front instead of the back you do need some room behind the speaker and these are not tiny so make sure you measure to allow enuff room. I also i don't like that Klipsch made the old icons to reference and made the old reference to reference premier it can be kind of confusing for some one that is familiar or has not researched they got me on my 12 inch sub before I realized the changed the series name.

I bought these bookshelf speakers to fill out my home system and I'm so glad I did. The performance is simply outstanding. These are heavy, well built and very attractive speakers with a BIG, FULL, CLEAN and CLEAR sound. They may seem a little more expensive than your typical plastic cased speakers but the proof is in the listening. You won't be disappointed... buy with complete confidence.

Much better than than the Polk RM-75's that I replaced. Not at good as more costly Kef's and Mirages in my other systems.

Wow! These are exceptional speakers folks! In an upgrade from 25 year old infinity speakers, I had purchased polk signature speakers recently to give them a shot because they were on sale, but decided to try some other speakers before I had to commit to the polks. Well, within 20 minutes of hooking up these klipsch I boxed up the polks to return them. Not even a fair comparison to be honest and the Klipsch are not much more expensive really as long as you take advantage of sale prices...well worth the money. I have the rp150m paired with an rp450c in a 5.1 setup using an older sony db1070 6.1 receiver (100Wx6). Eventually, I plan to get the rp260f and move the rp150m to the rear surrounds. Although, the more I listen to this setup I think I could easily get by using the rp150m for front L/R channel. The sound that comes out of these relatively small speakers is amazing, to say the least. A caveat is they don't hit the low end with only a 5.25" driver in a small cabinet (the downside of bookshelf speakers is compromising deep sound for space) so you may want a subwoofer especially for HT setups, but these are a very fine sounding speaker that present a great sound stage and crisp clear dialog, that will leave you impressed nonetheless. These speakers excel for listening to music in smaller rooms or in HT setups where floor standing speaker space can't be accommodated. For listening to music I am extremely impressed by the richness of the sound these little beauties produce with or without a sub. Regardless, you won't be disappointed, these speakers had me shaking my head in amazement several times and they are not even really broke in yet....KLIPSCH, HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK with this new reference premier line of speakers!! To top it off, these things look amazing with the copper and black, and no grill mounts due to use of magnets..what you get is a sleek and slim look. Be sure to look around and take advantage of price matching with Best Buy!
