I have other RP series speakers and went with this as center channel due to being on sale. Sound is not that good compared to others from same line. Felt like it was coming out of box. Ended up returning this after getting a 3 way RP series center channel, which has much better sound quality.

Thought it was a great looking speaker. Sound lacked something I couldn’t put my finger on. It made voices feel as if they weren’t coming from the tv and I tested it on movies I’ve seen many times.

I waited a few months to review this speaker. Could not be happier with this center channel speaker. It does most of the work in a surround sound system. So get a great center speaker like this one.Dont get the regular reference series speakers, not enough oomph and room filling sound. This speaker is great for a small to medium size room yet its heavy. Sound is clear, warm and full bodied. It's also fantastic for music. I love to use it in s 7.1 surround mode. I am currently using it with 2 svs ultra bookshelves, 2 r51 klipsch speakers for the rear and 2 svs prime elevation speakers for Dolby atmos in my master bedroom !

I worked for Circuit City and HHGregg for many years as an audio salesman/manager. I know audio very well. As an employee with retail stores, I got INSANE discounts on home audio. Therefore I have owned Infinity, Bowers & Wilkins, Polk, and just about every speaker you can imagine. This center channel is far and away my favorite speaker I’ve ever owned. I originally purchased the reference series. I think it was 4 4” drivers. Absolutely awful. I saw the reference premiere for only $20 more. This thing (Albiet a little ‘bright’) is perfect. I would never spend more on a center channel and neither should you (unless you’re matching front speaker/center speaker driver size). I’m running through an Onkyo @ 100 watts rms. It’s absolutely astounding. It’s as good as the entry level quad 4” speaker is bad.
