This is the best speaker of this type I've ever had! I've owned many surround sound systems with a center speaker, and this blows all of them away! I just purchased one prior to this one that cost just as much but don't sound half as good! Everything is so Crystal Clear I don't have to turn my fan off to here what the people are saying on TV. I usually have my fan on all year round and find myself turning it off to hear what's on TV even at full blast. I don't have to do that with this speaker here. If you have a surround sound system I guarantee if you get this, you would never go back to the old systems!

This center channel speaker is a nice size. The 4" drivers make it much shorter than some other centers, allowing it to be positioned under the TV easily. The top of the enclosure is also flat allowing one to place the TV directly on the speaker if desired. The piano black finish is flawless and highly polished. It is quite beautiful but shows every fingerprint and smudge. The copper-colored woofers offer a pleasant contrast to the piano black finish, and the copper trim rings set the look off even more. The grill is magnetic, making it easily installed or removed allowing one to change the look quickly and easily. Of course, speakers are about sound, and a center channel speaker is about reproducing dialogue. These speakers excel in that role. High pitched sounds are crisp and detailed, and even a breath or a gasp can be clearly heard in amazing detail, thanks to the horn loaded titanium tweeter. Lower pitched sounds, such as deep male voices, are faithfully reproduced by the four 4" woofers. If you are looking for an excellent center channel speaker, you can't go wrong here.

I've never owned a "reference" level speaker before - however, I'm using this as a center channel in a Dolby Atmos setup - at it's exactly as advertised. Dialogue comes through clearly and doesn't distort even at high volumes (I could still understand it clearly even through earplugs, which I needed due to how loud I had it)
