Best show currently on television, period. At least I hope it continues on for another season or more. Helmed by the hardest working guy in Hollywood, Steven Soderbergh, backed by incredible team of writers and an amazing cast of actors, it manages to turn the beyond cliché television melodrama ‘medical procedural’ on its head and create a dazzling portrait of America at the turn of the century, 20th that is...

This show is awesome, I would highly recommend it to anyone, the only exception being that there are only two seasons then the programming got cut by Cinemax. I am not through the whole second season yet, but I feel this show could have carried on for much longer. I will be sad to see it end and wonder if they did a clean end cut or if it will be abrupt.

    The Knick: Season 2

I picked up the 1st season because I like Clive Owen, and the series did not disappoint. The 2nd season doesn't miss a bit and has some good story and character development. Also, it's a "dramatic" glimpse to see how far we've progressed (in some aspects) in one hundred years of medical and social development. I say expand the video library and get the series!

I've been a Soderbergh fan since the 90s. His material is always thought provoking, mature and intelligent. Minus Clive Owen, I wasn't aware of the other actors work. I like it that way. I can usually go in on a project without any bias. I don't have cable so this dvd is the only way for me to see this great show.

In 2 seasons, The Knick has proven one for the ages in capturing how medicine was practiced during the early 1900s . Together with great drama, acting and plot intrigue, this was a great experience no matter how short lived it was! I hope things can be sorted out to allow for a season 3!

I got to view a sample episode of season one and I got right into this series about medicine in the 1900s. Clive Owen does a remarkable job playing Dr. John Thackery. The surgical scenes are wild and a little scary. The storey line and characters are very good. I wish there would be a season 3

This period television series is off the charts good with excellent acting, filming, story telling and factual events from the 1900, 1901 period of the Knickerbocker Hospital. Very much recommended. Can not wait for season three to come out on Blu-ray.

This is an excellent period drama series set around the turn of the century (the early 1900's) at a New York hospital. I was hooked after seeing the first series and the second doesn't disappoint. Fine performances and terrific period detail.

I had earned a $5 reward through Reward Zone and combined with the sale price of $17.99 for the blu-ray it was a sweet deal! I haven't watched it yet, but the first season was some of the best TV out there. Sad season 2 will be the last.

This was one of my favorite series running on television. Clive Owen is terrific and very convincing in his performance. I haven't heard if there will be a season three or not but I really hope they do as it's a great series.

I love how the show is set in the early 1900's back when we didn't know much about surgery and the medical field in general. Great acting and very well written show. I recommend both season 1 & 2 to anyone.

Clive Owen leads a strong team of actors in a show that's very consistent episode to episode. The Blu-ray specs are good if not outstanding, and bonus content could be more bountiful, but it's still an engrossing look into an earlier era. Recommended.

A very interesting series with great acting, cool scenes. I'm a medical doctor, and it seems to me that the medical treatments are probably fairly realistic given the date of the story (~1900-1910). Very realistic surgery scenes; well done!

The show itself is entertaining and interesting to watch surgery being performed with limited technology. The Blu Ray set had everything I needed, including the digital copy so I can watch on my iPad. Hopefully they make a 3rd season.

The Knick offers a glimpse of the not so innocent age of the turn of the 20TH Century. The raw and in-your-face surgery and drug use scenes portrays the dark side of the Gilded Age.

Season picks up right where season 1 left off. If you love learning about the early days of modern medicine and how crude some of the techniques were then this is the show for you.

Season 2 has the same characters, storylines, and is equally as interesting as season 1! Some twists towards the end are great, and the music once again is minimal & really cool.
