Kobo ereaders don’t shove adds in your face and don’t care where your content comes from. I have always been a physical book kind of guy and had a kindel that ended up collcting dust. I was always annoyed by the how slow the ereader was and wouldnt finish my physical books because reading lights are too intrusive and paper is not waterproof so i cant read and float in my apartment pool. The kobo is snappy, is waterproof, and the backloght gets incredibly dim and has a yellow nightmode so i can read at the pool and before bed. I got one for myself andmy girlfriend. So far i have completed two books and she has completed five. We both look forward to reading ans being able to source books from my amazon library and third party pdfs makes it incredibly easy to find the best deals on books i want to read without being bombarded by ads or have some subscription service shoved in my face. Theres a stylus option and a remote page turner. I havent felt the need for a stylus since im not a note taker while i read, but with the case that doubles as a stand, i will be buying the page turner so i can read at bedtime without having to reach over to turn the page making it more comfortable to fall asleep. The battery life is great and it charges quickly. It also has color so the cover art looks cool and if you like graphic novels its a plus (it is ereader color so less vibrant than phones and tablets). All in all its cheaper than the competition with the same or better features and it doesnt shove ads in your face. Made by a japanese company so data leakage isnt an issue and you dont need to link any personal info and side loading content can be done over wifi. The perfect product and super worth it if you want to remove barriers to reading.
