Improper packaging for a shipped item.

There was no box, other than the retail packaging, to protect this in transit. The packing tape was put on over top the shopping label, so obviously the retail packaging doesn't hold up to shipping conditions. It almost looks used, but the box is flimsy enough as it is that the damage is most likely caused by shipping. Inside the terrible container the tripod appeared to be fine, except for the hook knob at the bottom of the center column. It is cracked at the flat top of it. I also did not receive the phone adapter that both the box, manual, and website claim comes with it. The detachable monopod leg is neat, but the overall build quality is awful. If you're looking for a good tripod, pay more and get a Benro and some phone attachments or something because this ain't it.

    Good first year

I loved this tripod for the first year of use. One day while my camera was mounted I turned it over as I had done many times before and the camera snapped off from the tripod. This left some of the screw inside my camera and bent my moveable screen. I have been hesitant to bring it out to use with my camera as normal but needed to one day recently. In this instance the swivel top mount would not connect to the base. Now this is still the best tripod reviews and price so it is a hard choice to get this again. I haven’t been able to find a way to get it fixed but would rather that at this point.

This is actually a very sturdy and professional tripod. It’s very thick, solid, and easy to use. And it definitely has some height to it. You cannot beat this for the money.

This camera stand is shockingly impressive for the price. It’s very sturdy and has many, many different configurations for height and angle. I just take photos for fun and family photos, so it’s very beginner friendly and easy to use. I’m very pleased with it for the cost!

Bought this for use where there might not be a level place for setup and this is much lighter than the other one was using for that purpose, This past week took it with me over in the everglades Personally think this Kodak tripod is every bit as good or better than tripods costing multiple times more. Can use easily it in Macro with my little Rico, AND has no big problem using with my Nikon, even with the telephoto lens mounted, although the leg adjustments were trickier because of the lens weight involved, Couldn't be happier with this, Recommend this highly, Am not a professional level photographer, by any means , but honestly do think a pro would like it also

This is my first tripod; I am an amateur photographer. I been using this tripod for about a month and have put in some good hours using it in rain, grass, dirt, mud, hills, flat lands, etc. The tripod is extremely easy to deploy, very light weight, and simple to use. It took me very little time to train my muscle memory to use the knobs and adjustments to mindlessly use the tripod without looking or taking attention off the shot. Once you get used to it, the ball head works great, and you will find it to be very maneuverable. The legs are sturdy, I have not used the metal spikes on the feet yet since it has not been necessary since the rubber feet alone gives you plenty of traction on most surfaces (I have not tried snow yet though). Overall, if you are looking for a light weight and functional/quality tripod, I would recommend this. There were not many reviews at the time of me purchasing this, but I’m glad I went with this tripod regardless; I would purchase it again. For me, the quick-change plate, is one of the most useful things. My camera, with the plate attached, can still fit in my camera bag. So, I attach the plate before going out on the shoot, so it is easily attachable when I deploy the tripod without any hassle. This also helps if you need to quickly pack up, for example if a sudden storm assaults you (speaking from experience). Overall, great tripod for entry photographers, but I’m sure it would work great for shooting with a smart phone as well.

I recently purchased the Kodak tripod, and it has quickly become an essential tool in my photography kit. This tripod is incredibly versatile, accommodating not only my camera but also my off-camera flash and even my cell phone. One of the standout features of this tripod is its adaptability. Whether I'm shooting with my DSLR, setting up off-camera lighting for a portrait session, or capturing moments with my smartphone, this tripod effortlessly supports all my gear, providing stability and flexibility in any shooting situation. In terms of build quality, the Kodak tripod is sturdy and reliable. It's lightweight enough to carry around for outdoor shoots yet robust enough to withstand the rigors of regular use. The adjustable legs and quick-release mechanisms make it easy to set up and adjust on the fly, ensuring that I can focus on capturing the perfect shot without any hassle. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase of the Kodak tripod. Its versatility, durability, and ease of use make it a valuable addition to any photographer's toolkit. Whether you're a hobbyist or a professional, I highly recommend this tripod for all your photography needs.

This is the first time I've ever purchased a premium tripod, and I'm so glad I spent a little more on this one. The ball head is revolutionary, making it easy to position your camera quickly and precisely. The tripod also breaks down very compactly for easy transportation. Even so, it feels very sturdy and I don't have any concerns about putting $4k+ worth of equipment on top of it. I also look forward to using the monopod feature for nature walks.

When I received this tripod in the mail, went thru the information and began setting it up, I realized it was better than I anticipated. This tripod is the truth. You can customize every piece of the tripod to capture the perfect shot you're looking for. Very sturdy, and I really like the hook that supports added weight to keep it sturdy in unfavorable conditions. This was a great buy, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Bought this to replace my previous tripod that broke. This tripod feels so much more sturdy. The knob for the adjustments turn easy and stay solid. The legs fold upward to store more compact and where they hinge are metal clips and lock the legs in palce. They feel incredibly sturdy. Also came with a small bag for accessories and a big bag for the tripod. Both are nice material and feel good quality. If you need a study tripod and don't mind a bit of weight then this is an excellent buy! I highly recommend

I purchased this tripod, phone mount, and Bluetooth remote to use with my phone. The instructions have you load an app onto your phone. That app then takes pictures using the remote. I wanted to use my phone's camera as it has extra features. So I returned it. Just recently, since returning it, I discovered that you can change how the camera app responds to the signal and thus use the native camera app. On the Samsung Galaxy go to the settings, shooting methods, and change press volume keys to take pictures or videos. Bingo, the remote's change of volume will now take a picture. At least theoretically as I don't have it to test.

Pros: Looks great, Kodak brand gives it a legacy professional look. It is well-built and has a nice weight to it. Cons: The release plate and leg locks are plastic. The tripod needs to be stored with the legs inverted, which adds extra time and reduces the ease of use. It also doesn't fully close because of the head parts. It barely fits in the bag. Despite the cons, it was still a best buy!

wow! really really solid and really nice tripod/ monopod! i use a frame on my Mirrorless camera, so attaching it to the tripod is easy, so need to use its plate. can't go wrong with this tripod, it's soooo much better than the cheaper ones at$60 or less. the 3 legs are independent of each other compared to the cheap stuff, in case your trying to balance it on a rocky terrain or something. really useful.

Pretty solid tri-pod. The mono-pod feature comes in handy and the fact that you can adjust it in virtually any way is pretty handy. If you have multiple cameras it's a good idea to get multiple.
