This movie is an unexpected find. I had the cover in my hands many times in the store and always thought that this is an older movie that just has been rereleased. Boy I was wrong. This superb movie is an instant Classic. Beautifully told, excellent acting and mesmerizing cinematography will take you on a journey that you will never forget.

I really enjoyed this movie of the kon-tiki voyage. The visuals of the time at sea were amazing. I have only watched the original version of the movie that is in Norwegian with sub-titles so far.

Very good story but not as exciting as I expected. Too simple.

Great Foreign Film

Great film, one of the best foreign films I've seen recently, and I watch and study films all the time. It's in Norwegian, but there are scenes that take place in NYC, where they speak English and subtitles are automatically turned off. There is also an English version you can choose to watch that is not dubbed like one would think, but rather actually shot in English. Many scenes were shot in both languages to make the film more accessible, however at least 20 minutes are cut from the English version, so I don't recommend that one (which I have not yet watched, and don't really plan to).
