Sound quality is fine for the price range $40, but of course not on the same planet as a pair if "Beats" or "Bose". These are good beginner headphones for kids or if you need an extra pair on hand for whatever reason.

Last week i bought a pair of skullcandy uprocks for $29.99 they looked good and sounded good but were very uncomfotable and felt like they would break also the ear pads don't articulate much at all...they are super tight and an on ear design wich makes for sweaty ears plus awesome headaches...so i retuned them and bought these for $24.99.. and find that they are everthing i wanted great sound and comfort for less than the uprocks and get this yes you can hear everything when you have them on but not pluged in, but when the music is on all you can hear is the music i tested this out several times already. these seem as sturdy as other headphones in the price range and definately stronger than the uprocks i had.... and they don't squeeze my head life it's in a vice in short i am loving these headphones more than i expected i would. so glad i bought them just wish some paper work came with them. btw i don't know anyone who would spend more than $100.00 for a set of headphones for casual listening it's different if it's part of you job or something but to listen to an mp3 player sterep or tv? why spend $300.00 on something that only sounds slightly better than the cheaper ones? must be a trendy wannabe thing in which case it's just soo stupid...be smart get what you need without breaking the bank...

I have had these headphone for about a month now and have no complaints. Yes they are not Beats but my opinion is you cannot get better sound in this price range. Only a minor issue is that the volume is just slightly low with some of the smaller lower powered MP3 players, but dont let this disuade you if you are considering these phones. The sound quality is excellent for this or any price range! I have had no issues with durability or them not fitting my head (and I do have a big head). Great comfort for long term use.

Don't listen to any of them....

Basically, 1st of all of course it doesn't block out external sound.. They are open eared headphones what would anyone expect from them? So yea you are going to hear things outside of your headphones. And comparing $300 headphones to $40 headphones shows how little some people know about them. Also to say these headphones sound like ipod headphones is completely ignorant. These headphones provide good clean bass, the mids are pretty good and the highs are a little weak for my taste but all in all you cant get a better, more comfortable pair of headphones for the price. Also to say these have cheap build quality is a questionable accusation because they come with a lifetime warranty... why would a company put lifetime warranty on something that is built like cra..... badly? SO all in all these are good headphones. hope this helped :D

Okay, to start. Great headphones, Koss lifetime warranty is a great deal. These are open headphones NO SOUND ISOLATION. Also people can hear your music. The bass is great, no its not going shake the headphones, these aren't Beats By Dr.Dre. te mids are pretty good too , the highs are okay but could improve. For the price is worth it. If you're like me, you'd use an amplifier to extend your music experience. I personally would recommend any Koss headphones to anyone.

Very lightweight, which was my biggest concern. I wear them all day long, so I needed something comfortable. After two weeks of wearing them for 8 hours a day, I can attest that these headphones are very comfortable (no neck strain or ear pain). I was also pleased by the sound quality: not fantastic, but great considering the price. In being lightweight, the materials feel a little flimsy, but nothing has broken yet.

When I first purchased my computer I was on a very tight budget but still wanted a pair of headphones that produced "good" sound. But recently I have tried my friends pair of Dr. Dre's and WOW most amazing thing ever! I was hopping to come home and get the same quality with these but no, not even close. Now I understand you can't compare 300$ and 40$ headphones but it made me realize how awful these headphones sounded. I did like the price tag on these at the time and I liked the fold able feature. And it is not really noise canceling, when someone comes in to the house I can hear doors opening and closing. Also another odd thing is that the music produced on the outside of the earphone is just as strong as on the inside. Needless to say I am looking into getting new headphones.

Way better sound than I expected. Nice punch to them. Good bass response. I use through a mixer so I can push more power through them, plus be able to EQ them as well.

I like the look and feel of the head phones. With Koss you are supose to get rich full highs and lown I did not feel the noise so to speak. Sounded a little tinny to me. Then when you turn up the volume you here a clicking sound has gotten better with use. I think they missed the mark for this product.

Bought these headphones before a trip because i wanted something that was decent, covered the ears and was compact. These seemed to fit that bill perfectly. Was relatively happy with them until I compared them with my daughter's Skullcandy Inked ear buds that she bought for $15. I feel ripped off because the sound from the SK earbuds was amazingly better that what I paid $40 for. If you can, listen to these first before you purchase and compare against others.

I bought these headphones today and can definitely say that I will be returning them tomorrow for a refund. These headphones do absolutely nothing to block out external noise and the unit that I bought seems to produce the same volume levels from both the inside (the side that rests against your ear) and the outside (facing outward) of the earcups. In the packaging, they look well made and fairly durable. However, upon opening them I quickly realized that they felt very cheaply made and the sound quality was comparable to cheap headphones that were included with my first portable CD player (when those were still considered the newest thing). The sound quality was terrible - the earbuds that come with iPods sounds better. Long story short; save yourself the trouble and choose a different product.
