Great as secondary machine. Pods hard to find.

I bought this machine and honestly love it. I am addicted to coffee. I have a device for almost every brewing method known. This make a decent cup very quickly. It is great for that quick cup on the way out the door late. Also great for that evening mocha or espresso. Some flavors have milk pods like the mocha. The main complaint is I can only get the pods at one store locally. You can get them online, but not even Bestbuy or Walmart carry in the store. This with the Kcups being EVERYWHERE now. Also no option for "make your own" pods yet. 16 pods to a box for about $11. The milk drinks are half milk pods so you get eight beverages from a box. Very easy to operate, power on, water heats in seconds, slide "needle" up, pull out pod tray drop in pod. Bring down needle to pierce the pod, Place cup, slide selector to hot or cold brew, coffee starts to brew. Water takes approx 20 seconds to heat. You need to pull up the needle arm and remove the pod when done and hot otherwise needle arm tends to stick and makes pod removal difficult. Krups provides a two piece plastic box to catch the hot pods when they first come out. Very nice touch. I don't mind owning many coffee machines, but if you want one with greater variety and availability, go with the big K machine. This is VERY good for the occasional cup and more upscale type coffee drinks. For the price, refurbished can't be beat!

    Best Coffee Ever!

I really love this machine. It produces the best coffee I've ever tasted...and the aroma, oh my! I ordered my capsules online from Amazon. They come in a 3-box set, shipping is free (over $25), there's no tax, and they arrive in 3 or 4 days. Great! I've also ordered from the Dolce Gusto website. Same price per box, and if you order 4 boxes (all can be different flavors), you get free shipping. However, it takes MUCH longer to arrive. Why do people keep asking for a refillable container to brew their own coffee in when the Dolce Gusto capsules are so-o-o delicious? I suggest using a regular brewer for your own special coffees. Some complain that the coffee isn't hot enough. My experience is that too hot a temp ruins the taste and burns your tongue. DG has a gentle steam extraction process that delivers coffee without any bitterness and at a temp that you can drink right away--no need for a cooling off period, nor ice cubes to dilute it! NOTES: I use a PUR pitcher to filter the water before pouring it into the tank, and I'm sure that helps. The other important thing is to pay attention to the suggested amounts of water for each type of drink. Yes, you CAN make an 8-oz. cup of coffee, but it won't have the same richness as a 6-oz. cup. KUDOS: Best Buy is to be commended for carrying this refurb machine at such a reasonable price. I would never have tried it otherwise. Thanks, Best Buy!

Price is good and looks to work great. However you cant go to the local stores to buy the coffee pods, you have to order them online and wait for delivery. Even best buy does NOT sell the coffee pods. Returning.
