Initially, when I heard about this film, I didn't think that I would enjoy it as much as I did. It has all of the humor that you would expect from a Dreamworks movie as well as the action that you would need to satisfy the adults going to the film. While it is geared towards little kids, it has a great message about living up to your expectations and not letting fear stand in the way of who you can become. You will not be disappointed in viewing this movie multiple times.

I hate to be one of those who remark on a film's "message," but I thought Po's adventure and journey of discovery showed how its important to believe in yourself and not give up on your dreams. And like I said, the message was SHOWN and not PREACHED over and over like some mindless animated features do when the writers are lazy and the producers underestimate the intelligence and maturity of the viewing audience. Great movie and hilarious. Buckets of great extras too!

Wonderful movie for the family to enjoy. A story of a panda who realizes he is more than what he believes. He is chosen. He learns martial arts and winds up working with a team that really doesn't want him around. His teacher doesn't want him around. Poe is a wonderful character. It's worth watching many times over. The story: A bear, the search for the chosen one. A teacher learning a new way to help a student. The final battle.

I picked this up on a whim because best buy had a good sale on their 3d titles. My boys are at the right age to enjoy this movie (5 and 7) and I get to utilize my 3D. That effect works well on this movie. The movie itself has a good message of believing in yourself and doing your best, with not to scary or crude jokes. Worth a look at buying if you do not already own a copy.

Love this film. It is one of those kinds of movies that come once every decade to put it's mark on the movie industry. It goes neck and neck with the other animation flick of that year - Wall-E This movie had no competition with flops of that year: The Happening, Speed Racer, 88 Minutes, the relatively unkown Indiana Jones movie, and the worst of the Daniel Craig 007 movies, Quantum of Solace...

I already owned the movie on DVD. I purchased it due to a sale and have slowly been upgrading and replacing DVD movies I have. The visual presentation is slightly improved over the DVD, which is not bad do to the up-scaling of modern Blu-ray players. The sound, however, is definitely more rich and dynamic with a better LFE channel than the DVD. It will play very nicely on a capable sound system, with those having better performing subwoofers getting the most bang for their buck. The movie itself is excellent with a great story and many themes for kids and adults alike. A must own if it is not a part of your movie library.

I always kinda thought this movie was dumb. But then I sat down with my 2 year old and we watched it together since he loves anything animated and came to find out that its a great movie. Animation is awesome, the plot is pretty good, and it is absolutely hilarious. The opening Dreamworks animation is really awesome too (possibly my favorite part haha)

Here you not only have a fun, beautifully-drawn and animated film with heart but one that is enhanced by the realism and depth that only 3D can give us when the 3D and sound are done right - in other words giving us a reason to buy the discs! Please bring back 3d discs and TVs!!

purchased this disc for my kids and they loved it.. i basically wanted it to be a collection for them since im into that kind of thing.. the best part is, i get to have a digital copy and my kids are able watch it on their pad/tabs.. it saves the disc from possible scratches..

If you are a kid at heart and love Kung Fu movies of the 70's, then this is a movie for you. It's Fantastic! The animals in the feature mimic the Kung Fu techniques and styles, such as the Tiger, Mantis, and Crane. Great animation and story telling with great actors voicing the roles.

Purchased this movie on a whim because I had a reward about to expire. Turns out my daughter loves it and I don't mind hearing it while driving around. We use the Blu-Ray in the house, DVD in the car, and used the free download to put it on her tablet. Great options!

This review is for the 3D version of the first Kung Fu Panda movie. Although this movie came out ten years ago (2008) and was quite a big hit, I never got around to it before. Now Best Buy is selling it for $9.99 so I picked it up and it exceeded my expectations. It is fun and has great visuals, so it's definitely worth it if you love 3D. Obviously you need to have a 3D TV and 3D player to view it in 3D.

I went in to purchase the 3rd installment however I do not own any of the others and they were at such a great price with digital copies as well I purchased all of them! And each one of them are as enjoyable as the last. This is a standard go to in our house.

I recently saw Kung Fu Panda 3 and thought it was very good, so I decided to get the first two movies, especially because the price was good and it came with a digital HD copy. I also bought Kung Fu Panda 3 when it was released in the BluRay combo pack.

I was looking for a new movie to add to our "kids" collection and decided to get this one. It is a super film and was enjoyed by all. Just a bit of a warning - youngsters under about 3 years old could be scared by some of the fighting and dramatics (ours was), Enjoy.

I saw this in theaters when it first came out and very much enjoyed it then but then kind of forgot about it. Then I saw the Nostalgic Critic's review of it and I remembered "oh yeah, I really liked Kung Fu Panda" and bought it. Looks great in Blu-Ray!

The animation, great. The story, fun. The humor, appropriate. But the one element of this film that keeps having me re watch it is jack black's performance as Po. This is the movie that is great for kids and even entertaining for adults. This movie doesn't have those tears in eye moments that some other animated movies have, but in its solid form, it's a great movie that I will continue to watch and enjoy as an adult.

I'm a big fan of Kung Fu Panda and I would like to call myself an adult at age 30. I don't have kids but the kung fu panda movies are always in regular rotation. The story is great and the animation is top notch. Tai Long is a great villian as well.

I came a little late to the party. My daughter started watching the show and the whole family loved it. So we picked up both movies currently out. The movies are great. They are an epic story and we look forward to seeing the new movie soon as well.

If you already appreciate the comedy styling of Jack Black and you want some great references to Kung Fu films of old, Kung Fu panda gives you all of this in a kid friendly package. Great story, great references and laugh-out-loud comedy.
