I have been using this lock on my front door for a few months now. It was glitchy when I first installed it--one time it even unlocked itself when the nearest fob/cell phone was at the opposite end of the house, and nobody was around to tap the lock itself! I called customer support as this is very clearly a security issue. Naturally, Kwikset said it was user-error and that I needed to change the batteries. I already had brand new batteries in the kevo! Fortunately, these glitches have only happened in the first couple of weeks of using the kevo, and I have no knowledge of it unlocking itself when I am not at home. Also, the physical key entry jammed about a month ago. It was an easy fix this time around, but I am now skeptical about the structural integrity in the long run. Since my installation, the second generation Kevos have been released. Pros: Nice solid appearance on the outside. The lock comes with two key fobs, and the app allows for two cell phones to be linked to the lock. The physical key-entry can be re-keyed to your existing keys.The physical lock has a lifetime hardware warranty. Cons: The app turns itself off/disconnects at random. The electronic circuitry doesn't appear to have a warranty. The lock cannot be remotely locked without an additional $100 specialized router. Customer service is unreasonable.

Kevo works very well and integrates very well with the iPhone app. i usually keep my phone in pocket to open it, no need to take it close to the lock. the only problem i had was to fit it to the door.

Would have given it a five star rating except, I have one issue with its use. I carry my phone in my back pocket. Which means I have to turn to allow the signal to get to the phone in order for the electronic key to work properly. I will have to install new batteries and try it again. Otherwise I'm glad I don't have to carry a key with me. The phone App works good.

Installation was easy. Programming was confusing at first, but relatively painless. It also allows you to use your existing house key, so you don't need to change every family members keys. Electronically, you can open the door in two ways. There's a "fob" you can use as "hands-free" key or you can use the blue-tooth app on your phone for "e-keys." The fob opens the lock on the first try roughly 60% of the time. So you often end up standing on your porch arguing with the lock, hoping it works and you don't have to fish your keys out of your pocket. I don't use the blue-tooth function because that drains my phone battery too much but it's a nice feature to have, especially if you run a rental unit with lots of new people coming and going. You can send them each e-keys and then turn them off after their visit is over. Would be better if the fob and e-keys were more consistently reliable. On top of the occasions where they won't open the lock, there are times when the door locks in the open position - a minor annoyance that requires some vigilance to make sure the door isn't open or unlocked when I leave. I have yet to figure out why this happens and am assuming it originates from the supernatural and not the engineering design. I've contacted an exorcist and am on his waiting list to get this resolved.

Safe made my house safer than ever it was perfect how it unlocked and opened

I loved the advantages of this product, and the fact that it did not appear any different than a regular deadbolt. Unfortunately, the back of the lock has a large mechanism and my door has a window in it. It does not allow for the box on the inside of the door. I had to return the Kevo deadbolt, much to my disappointment.

I like this deadbolt because you do not have to carry keys, just your iphone, and the way you can assign keys to different people. I like that you can update the software of the deadbolt, so if there are improvements you get them

I love this lock! It's great to not need my keys pretty much ever. It was easy to install and set up. My only complaint is that it can take a bit too long to lock and unlock at times.

I bought this lock for my three boys to be able to use their phones to get into the house. It has been an excellent addition. It was easy to install and has worked well for all three boys and myself. One feature that I have used is the 24 hour guest key. You have their email address and can send them a key that expires in 24 hours.

I love this Lock!!! It was pretty easy to install and set up. I was expecting it to be much harder.

Great idea for a lock, however i think they still need to fix a few things, It did not work with Samsung Smartthings, and had a few issues with bluetooth picking up. Ended up returning it and going with a different KwickSet lock set. If you are only looking for bluetooth, and dont mind a few delays from time to time, i guess it can be a good lock. BEWARE, kwickset changes extra to hook up to your wifi network!!!

This lock is awesome. Its very stable as I was weary about security with lock but IT WORKS.

I bought this lock on sale and didn't have high expectations. Surprisingly, the lock performs well and the installation was easy to follow. Experienced a problem re-keying the lock, and Kwikset is sending a new cylinder. Overall, this is a decent smart lock option. Could not give 5 stars because remote access is extra (which is included in most other smart products I've purchased).

This thing is awesome. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because it was a little difficult to get the fob to work with it. But once it was setup it's great!

I love my Kevo lock! It was very easy to install and looks great. It works if I have my iPhone in my pocketbook or in my pocket. It also comes with a Key fob! Excellent product!

It did not hold up to the hype ended up returning. Would not work 100% of the time.

So here is the thing. The lock works fairly good. However make sure the deadbolt lines up correctly and moves smoothly or you're going to have problems because the motor isn't that strong. 99 percent of the time the kevo locks and unlocks without a problem. However there is still that 1 percent of the time where there is a glitch. Now the app needs alot of work. First off sometimes it won't show the lock status and that should never happen. The other problems I have is it's supposed to work with Android wear and it doesn't. Crashes all the time on the watch and the phone when using with Android wear. Next it's supposed to have Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat control, so when you unlock the door the heat or air turns to your desired temperature. This too doesn't work. At least not for me. I didn't get much if any help from customer service to resolve this problem. But if your in the market for something like this it is awesome to be able to send ekeys to friends or family and set the length of time they have access. Hopefully kevo will work out the glitches soon on the app.
