Only works with the current model smartphones 1 year old smartphone won't work I can use my key faster then the lock will open have to have fob right next to lock the whole thing's a joke

It works but not well. To me the activation seems slow, except when you don't want it to activate. Usually I have to touch it 2 or 3 times to get it to work. By that time I could have used a key & been quicker. It does seem to work quickly when I accidentally bump it when I'm closing the door. Then the bolt comes out quickly and holds the door open when it bounces off of the door frame before the door swings shut. I won't buy another one.

Great keyless lock for family and friends...wish it tied to house network

I was so hoping this to workout. Don't get me wrong it works ok with the app but the time I take my phone out tap on the app it locates the lock it takes up to one minute. The fob key is what sucks . Worked the first day then that's it

This things is pretty darn cool, you just have to program it properly. Also it's a smart lock so you can change your other main keys to it.

this is just what i was wanting. i have alexa and can lock the door at night if i forget to thru alexa or the app on the phone

This lock locks and unlocks itself, drains batteries in less than a month. I've gotten a replacement and the replacement lock does the same thing. We went to the store today and locked the door as we left. When we got back from the store the lock had unlocked itself!

I loved the idea of kevo the moment i saw it. But the $$ was a little too high for me to replace a good lock. So when bestbuy sent me an email that they had the refurb on sale, I bought the gold refurb kevo. I installed it over the weekend. It was a bit tricky but worked out. It's only been a few days. My biggest issues have been with the app so far. $1.99 for additional ekeys, not crazy about that after paying so much for a lock. I think it should come with at least 3 keys in addition to the account owner. It just seems like the right # of ekeys. I set up my account and issued an ekey to a family member and she never got the email. I paid $1.99 for an additional ekey to give to a good friend, they never got the email either. I deleted their access today and reissued their ekeys and it seems to be working. We'll see when they come over. I currently have an iphone 4s and the kevo app keeps crashing. Frankly I'm not sure if its my phone or the app. I think I could leave a fairer review after using for a few months. So if i can update my review later, i will. I am optomistic and i hope the kevo holds up. Fingers crossed. :)

The item was refurbished but looked absolutely new. Everything was in the box as if it were new as well including brand new batteries. My wife loves it! She was always complaining about having to dig out her keys because I would lock the door. Not anymore! Her iPhone is her key! The only down side was that it comes with only 2 ekeys. (What is used to unlock the door via phone). You can buy more ekeys for $1.99 but it wasn't very clear there was a limitation of free ekeys

I really like this lock because I don't have to remember numbers or try to punch them in at night or while holding shopping bags. I can email my family/friends keys when needed and revoke them that evening.

Astonishingly bad product. Tap the lock. Flashes red. Try again. Flashes red. Tap again. Hey presto! We are in after about 45 seconds of give and take. Literally should work every single time. Not good enough. The build quality is cheap as chips too, about as good as a $10 cheap lock except this one is 20 times the price.
