Took a chance and got this for my kids. I was pleasantly surprised how the game laid out instructions even my little ones could understand. It takes hours in the beginning to construct but hey that’s part of the fun. It something nice to share as a family. Would definitely recommend.

This have has been wonderful. Our nine year old was able to follow the instructions and assemble the kit by himself and all of our kids ( 9, 7, 4, and 2) have a lot of fun playing the game. I've also really enjoyed watching the creativity Labo has inspired and the chances it's given is to create as a family.

A few hours of interactive fun with those Labo Kits from Nintendo. I like the fact it got the kids thinking and building the interface, and they spent some good time without bickering with each other, just working toward a common goal. Just for that, this kit is awesome.

my 10 year old son loves this toy it definitely helps expand on creativity however forewarning there are a lot of pieces and they will take up a lot of room you'll need to find somewhere to place the pieces when not in use where someone will not step on them they are easily broken considering they are made out of cardboard

This was a task in itself to put together. Nevertheless doing it with more than one person is the key. It does take about 2 hours to put together. The product says about 3. I think its well worth it. My son loves playing with this game. If you lack patience in putting it together it gives you chances to take a break.

What a great way to get your family to experience building, mechanics, and design with (of all things) everyday cardboard. Stomp buildings, crush objects. Design your own mods with that box you just received. Note: don't promise to build the Robot unit in a day. It is an arduous process that should be enjoyed, not hurried.

This is fantastic! Nintendo has really made a system that would allow kids to build things and then use them in a real game. The game itself is nothing great, however building the entire suite was fun activity for my kids. Would recommend if your kids love to build things.

My 10yr old loves to build and put together stuff. Labo was an instant hit. You put it together, and it actually works with the game. Neat concept. The only thing is that it is made of cardboard and not an inexpensive kit. Young children may need some help from their parents. Once it’s built, it’s all fun and games from there.

    Pretty Cool How It Works

To the uniformed its not just some cardboard! It comes with software that teaches you how to put it all together with the string as pulleys and sensor tape for the JoyCons to see. The fact that you can do all those movements in the game (yeah it comes with a game to) with a couple JoyCons, cardboard, and string is pretty cool actually.

It took me n my 7yo probably about 1.5 hours to build(mainly my 7yo did it) but fun time building. The game is very repetitive for me but my 7yo loves it. You can level up n learn new skills but I don’t see this game being played more than 10-15x over the next month or two.. for the price I wish it was near 30-35 n that would be worth it.

This kit works with the Nintendo Switch and has pulleys that interact with the on-screen game. I gave this to my nephew for his birthday and he had a blast setting it up and playing the game with this added input. It's a great way to keep kids active in front of the TV set. It was a little pricey in my opinion given the material.

Great construction experience, less so after

We purchased this for my 9 year old son for his birthday. He loves robots and science/technology, so it seemed like a great fit. He loved putting the contraption together and spent a whole day constructing the suit. It takes a lot of time, but for kids who love involved processes, it is really great. The experience afterwards dropped off a bit though. He played almost all of the available mini games in the time it took him to construct the set in the first place. The garage software is more of a sandbox, so without the guide to lead him, he was less interested in that. The straps on the robot backpack also tend to come loose from the box. Still recommended, just know that the primary value here is in the set construction.

I ordered this for my son. After a fun filled time putting this together (I appreciated the break times built in to construction) he had a great playing with this. One caveat was that my son is taller than your average kid his age. The Labo is a little constricting for a child of his height. Other than that this is a great toy.

This is the best Labo kit! Building the project with the kids was fun, and the game that comes with it is the most interactive of all the Labo games that we've played.

My kids loved putting together the pieces and playing as giant robots. Definitely a cool new waybof playing and I love that it's innovative. No one else is doing things like this and I love that Nintendo is. Definitely recommend this!

This labo is a lot of fun to put together. I did it together with my eight year old son. If you're only buying one labo I would consider some of the other options. Well this one's fun to put together my son got bored very quickly of the game itself.

WE bought this as a father/son activity to build together. My son absolutely loves this. It did take a long time to put together, and there was a lot of anticipation with each step. Once it was together it was totally worth the time invested.

The game is a lot of fun to build with children, but quickly loses it's appeal after construction is complete. Game is limited in my opinion, but the time spent with my nieces building it was a lot of fun. Maybe not 80 dollars fun, but I would pay 50 to do it again.
