There's a reason why Nintendo markets this product as a toy. It's undeniably fun to use, and surprisingly comfortable given the technical capabilities of the Switch, but it simply cannot even begin to compete with any alternative besides Google Cardboard due to the low resolution and tracking limitations.

Once I finished building the VR headset and actually started playing around with the games in the VR Plaza, I was blown away by it. This is my first VR experience at home and my expectations have been blown out of the water - I highly recommend this for anyone with a Switch!

These work way better than I thought they would. Only gripe is no headband even considered for the device, but there are options elsewhere for accomplishing this. For dizziness concerns, don't play 3rd person games with VR, your brain and stomach contents will thank you

This set, like other nintendo labo sets is loads of fun. Amazing what they can do with cardboard.
The blaster and vr set comes together easily and with the switch inside, is great fun.
Great to put together and great fun to play as well.

Got this on sale. Stepson enjoyed putting it together. People aren't kidding, it takes a couple hours at least to put together all the cardboard stuff. Fortunately the digital instructions are easy to follow. We haven't really tried to games yet.

This was a lot of fun to put together and tinker around with my family. Its really cool to see how the gun works and the 3d. Although give yourself an afternoon to put it all together because it takes some time otherwise a great purchase

Fun to put together and the games are simple, yet enjoyable. Purchased on-sale for around $20 and definitely got the $20 worth out of it. A relatively cheap way to try out some introductory VR.

My son has been enjoying this set being that he absolutely loves his Nintendo Switch!
It’s very creative and I like watching him build all of the parts right before he actually gets to use them.

Great experience for kids. They worked and spent quality together and followed instructions on the TV. The basketball game was good once you get the hang of it looking through the Google. My daughters loves shooting the aliens through the city.

Although the kids haven't built the rocket yet, the VR Kit is really cool. They can use the VR goggles with certain Switch games to add a new experience. For example, they can watch a battle in Super Smash Bros. in VR. They really like it!

My son spent 2 hours independently putting it together. He took his time the directions are great and easy to follow and that doesn’t even begin to give props to the game play and ar creativity gamers can enjoy. Nintendo has done it again!!!!

My one nephew loved this that I had to get a second for the other nephew ! So much fun putting it together with detailed instructions. A first grader was able to do it and my fourth grader was very interested and requested one.

I found the putting together of the kit to be very easy to the point it was very tedious. When I was done and tried the VR games they were okay for very short experiences but I play a lot of VR on the Rift and this was no where near the great experiences on the Rift.

So, if you’re a parent thinking about buying one for your child, do it. Our son is never quiet, but this did the job for a couple of days. It would be nice if there were more games for it though.

Great points
+Fun putting everything together with someone else as a team activity.
+Despite it being cardboard, it's pretty darn sturdy.
+Low price point (now, $19.99)
The issue keeping it from 5/5 stars:
-Long term use, not great. Where most of my friends complain about VR stuff giving them (high end, like Oculus) headaches over time, I don't experience that....typically. I mean, I'm one of the fools that bought Virtual Boy on launch and played it regularly without issue as a kid. The greatest issue I've experienced is with PSVR playing Wipeout Omega... I am slightly dizzy for 5 minutes after playing for 30 minutes or more. This thing...within 20-30 minutes my eyes hurt and I'm starting a headache. It resolves itself quickly after, and those 10-15 minutes I play, it is really fun. Just can't play long term.

Visual quality is very mediocre but as an introduction into VR with a Nintendo twist the VR headset and the included software are very nice. A pretty robust creation mode is also part of the software but it's pretty complicated.
Overall Labo VR is pretty good.
