Memories flood back to amazing times when I watch this nostalgic classic. What a treat to own this wonderful film from an influential time. A must see classic for all ages, with the digital book making it all the more special. Performances by the late David Bowie and the incredibly beautiful Jennifer Connelly, bring you into a chilling fantasy world. Fun, exciting...a film you must own and watch with your family!

Another great Jim Henson film that's filled with imagination, and characters that are rich with strong personality and unique/colorful real like qualities. The puppets in the movie are very realistic looking which makes the movie even more fun and interesting. This film is classic Jim Henson, and is a wonderful family movie for the whole family. The 30th anniversary edition includes more special features than the standard blu-ray edition.

I purchased this film as a gift and the recipient of the gift absolutely loved it. If your a fan of this film this is a great box set to add to your collection. I was impressed with the overall design. While I do still find it a little over priced, I think the quality of the box set is sufficient to justify the purchase. If you have never seen this film, it is worth a watch, if for nothing else than to take a trippy tour through 80s cinema.

This release looks great on both formats. There's some nice new features from some of the cast/crew and a 40 min q&a. They've also ported over previous special features as well. This was worth the upgrade because it gave a childhood classic a whole new experience with great picture and sound

I couldn't resist this storybook 4K set. If you are a lover of David Bowie and/or Labyrinth, this is a must own. Jim Henson and his creature shop did a magnificent job on this film. They don't make children's movies like this anymore.

Funny, I never really got into this when it came out (and it was right in my wheelhouse based on age I was and genre). I loved Dark Crystal, Neverending Story, etc, but this one never really appealed to me. I rewatched it a few years ago and that all changed. Nice to see this excellent release in a digibook with extras. With Bowie's passing this year, it is kind of fitting that one of his best films gets this nice upgrade.

I grew up on Jim Hanson's work and Bowie's music and this movie joins these 2 masters. The song Magic Dance is for me the best song in the movie. After Bowie passed away I went looking for it on blu ray but maybe I was looking in the wrong place because all I found it on was DVD. Best Buy had it on blu ray and I had to get it. For Hanson and/or Bowie fans this is a must have trust me.

I had seen this movie many years ago, but honestly didn't remember much of it. I decided to take a chance based on it's good reputation, and I am glad I did. The movie holds up extremely well! Picture quality is excellent on bluray. This is definitely one of my current favorites. I watched it with a niece, and then with another friend who were both seeing it for the first time and they love it too. Give it a try!

I have been a life long Bowie fan and Labyrinth has been my favorite movie for the last 30 years. The quality in the BlueRay (I don't have a 4K player/TV) was so much better than the DVD copy I'd had as a kid. Not crystal clear like today's movies, but it was filmed more than 30 years ago, so I'll take what I can get. Thank you Best Buy for offering the beautiful Anniversary Edition Labyrinth Steel Book!

Loved this movie growing up as a teen in the 80's. A fine performance by Jennifer Connelly in what is a coming of age tale. Of course, the main reason to watch this is the puppetry by Jim Henson's company and David Bowie's scene stealing performance as the Goblin King Jareth. Throw in some truly memorable songs and you have a formula for success. Excellent picture quality and selection of special features.

This version was so amazingly enticing that I purchased it to replace my original Labyrinth Blu-ray. Over the years I have purchased dozens of Blu-ray movies with the intention of them replacing my old low resolution dvds, this I believe is the first time that I replaced a blu-ray with a newer/deluxe version of that same Blu-ray! If you love Jim Henson, Labyrinth or David Bowie...this is a must own!!!

One of my all time favorite movies and a sweet package. Beautiful picture, great sound, great new extra material including screen tests and deleted scenes. Packaging looks like Sarah’s little book “The Labyrinth”.

this was a labor of love for this movie to be ported to UHD as this is a classic movie and it was released in the year of Mr. Bowies passing and is a great remembrance of him. the movie looks even better than it's ever looked to my recollection. the audio has gotten a great uplifting with it's Dolby ATMOS soundtrack. if you love this movie, you must get it on UHD. just remember you need a UHD player!

This movie definitely brings back all your magical childhood memories. The new packaging and bonus features just add more to an already great film. The only down note is the passing of the one and only Goblin King, Jareth, but to watch him and the other characters on screen again makes you smile over and over. No matter your age, whether it's your first time or 1000th time, this film is a great joy!!

To begin with, I am not one of the many people out there that doesn't think 4k makes a difference. I absolutely LOVE the picture quality of 4k even for certain films that were not "true" 4k,... I can tell a difference for the several UHD discs I have purchased so far....
I love the Labyrinth movie, 5 stars for the movie itself.... This review is based on the UHD aspect of this product.
I don't think there was enough improvement in the picture quality to justify purchasing Labyrinth in UHD..... I was skeptical as I purchased Labyrinth on Bluray not long before this and I didn't feel Bluray quality was notably good....
I bought Labyrinth in UHD as many reviewers said the picture was stunning.....
My opinion:
I can CERTAINLY see improvement in SOME aspects of the picture quality..... For instance, when Sara is going through the bushy part of the labyrinth... The leaves look crisper than ever before.... In the tunnel the glitter on the walls are more noticeable..... I even noticed more details on the Jareth doll in Sara's room and I'm not sure I even noticed that doll at all before..... However, much of the film is still fuzzy/grainy in appearance.... The faces, characters, etc, still look like an 80s film.... I was likely expecting more than they can physically do.... Again, most reviewers over-hyped the results.
All in all, great movie, but get it in bluray.... not worth UHD unless it was the same price as bluray.

I went into this completely blind and ended up really loving it. I didn't even know it was a Jim Henson movie until I saw his name on the cover. The film itself was great and the packaging was outstanding. I watched all the extra features after watching the movie and it really gives it a lot more depth. You can tell they put so much work into every little detail.

I watched this movie all the time as a kid during the 80s on summer vacation with my sister. It brings back such happy innocent times and is a fun film. Cool characters and puppetry along with catchy songs from David Bowie as the Goblin King make this fun for all ages.

Great movie put in 4k. This is not as dark as Dark Crystal since no killing in it. What makes these movies good is they made them through puppets instead of using computer animation as they do today.

This is a movie about a girl coming of age. She is progressing into adulthood leaving behind the fantasies of selfishness of adolescence.
It involves her baby brother who is taken away by the goblin king, played by David Bowie, at her unwitting request and her struggles to retrieve her baby brother before he becomes a goblin himself. The movie has several "ah-ha" moments as well as funny ones as she begins to mature.

Labyrinth isn't for everybody. In fact, most people interested in purchasing this will probably be those who grew up with it. And for those fans, this is a terrific presentation. It starts with the very attractive digibook packaging, with the built-in booklet featuring production photos, essays, etc. It continues with the excellently restored 1080p picture and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Topping it off is the glut of special features. It would have a full 5 stars if the movie itself was appealing for adults who are watching it for the first time.
