Great Thunderbolt Hard Drive

I work with large multimedia files that was taking up lots of space on my Mac... So know I keep my large files on the hard drive and transfer what I need when I need it... Great choice if u ask me...

A few issues

Also, ejecting drive is sometimes difficult or delayed. I do like the design with the self contained thunderbolt cable and it feels very well built and durable but the unpredictable nature prevents me from recommending this drive to others. I will look at the G Drive comparable product...

Great way to keep a project moving - especially when files originate from different sources. No issues to date.

It has a much better compact design compared to their Firewire 800/USB 3 version and I like that. Solid and quick.

Does What it's Suppose to...

Good balance of speed and portability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While slower than some of the bigger, dedicated Thunderbolt drives out there, the LaCie Rugged External Thunderbolt portable drive is still fast enough to boot a MBPro Retina from without necessarily feeling like you've compromised your system's speed. The self-storing cord is easy to "put away" when storing the drive for travel.
