    I've purchased many LaCie drives over the years... always been impressed with the product. But this particular drive was a lemon from the start, and subsequently never used. I missed the 15 day return window, and when I went to the store with the product, I was told I was stuck with the loss. I was also informed that my Best Buy Rewards status had been deleted, erasing years of purchases, thousands of dollars spent, and loyalty, and would cost me $50 now. At a time when I would really like to avoid ordering from Amazon, disappointments like this don't help.

    They started the rugged look in hard drives and prided themselves with quality components. Having been purchased by Seagate, the standards have dropped a bit, but overal the build quality is above average.

    Great product be careful when removing from your laptop/computer it can lead to damage to usb port over time

    I’ve have always bought these LaCie hard drives but this one will say I ejected it improperly and then close out of the my project on premiere pro. I always keep my laptop on my desk and don’t move it back and forth at all. This hard drive came with a thunderbolt to thunderbolt cord and I’ve even tried a thunderbolt to USB port and both cords have the same issue. I will not buy again.

    I use it for video storage and the speed is a little slow. This is great for beginner video needs but not for my needs.

    ford tough! i love the protection surrounding the device what makes it even better is that they actually have two different types of usb cables that you can use and the set up is quick i love it

    Lacie's are my favorite hard drives. love the rubber case to protect it from drops etc. I am a creative and have been using Lacies for 7+ years and they have never let me down! This is my 4th Lacie :))
