    I bought 2 of the 4TB (Rugged LaCie) drives in July 2018. I have only used them as my backup (Time Machine) on my Macbook Pro. The first one lasted about 5 months at which time none of my machines could access the device. So I changed to the second drive and now it is failing also and none of my machines can access the second drive. I don't recommend these drives. F I would have returned them but I am sensitive about my data.

    Bought this and then found the 5TB for only a couple bucks more. So I returned this one.
