I bought the Lacie rugged triple interface 1 TB drive to use on my Macbook Pro for Time Machine backups. It is compatible with time machine and has worked well for the first month. The first thing I did upon opening the packaging, was accidentally drop it on my hard wood floor. No dents and it backed up my computer fine. So far, I'm happy.

This my second LaCie external hard drive. I sought this brand out after filling the first LaCie which I still use on a daily basis and have for over 3 years.

Love the rugged Lacie. My first one filled up, so this is #2 for me. Couldn't be happier, more than willing to pay the premium for this quality product.

Perfect for traveling or mailing abroad. I needed a large external HD to get safely to Japan from the West Coast. This did the job perfectly.

Unless you buy a solid state portable hard drive, carrying them around causes failure. Solid state drives are very expensive. This drive, the Lacie Rugged 1 TB unit is built for use, can be safely carried, is guaranteed against dropping (not recommended) and other accidents. I definitely recommend this unit for those who are taking their portable drive with them

Completely want I wanted. Rugged and uses both fI rewire and USB3.

This external hard drive is a music industry standard and I see why. IF it happens to fall a reasonable distance from the floor, you're safe. It's highly visible so it's easy to find amongst all the other equipment that decorate studio desktops. I enjoy it a lot.

Good hard drive works well. Only thing is I didn't like. The default feature of creating a snap shot of my regular drive. Had to stop it. Not enough room for my needs with only a terabyte..

I have bought drives costing about the same.Those drives didn't last under the demands. So far this drive is it.

This is my second one. The first I bought for myself and the second one I bought for my highschool daughter that will be going off to college. She can put it in her backpack and go. Also will adapt well to college life and all the multiple places she will be studying.
