This movie does have an eighties feel to it with a mixed genre music score. The score reminded me of the "A Knight's Tale" score because of its use of some modern music in a period type movie. The movie visuals were good for the time it came out, but a little dated by today's fare. It's still fun to watch, keeping in mind its compact cast and story.

Nice movie (one of my favorites), can't lose with Michelle and Rutger, Matthew good as usual. Soundtrack not very good for a movie, I guess the director liked The ALan Parsons Project. Should get a new restoration with a more conventional movie soundtrack with some songs by Lana Del Rey!

Actually bought this because a group of friends were talking about old movies and asked if I had this. Like this movie a lot, and was priced decently, so added it to my collection. We are all reliving the 80s.

Nothing short of awesome performances in a somewhat low cost movie. If only the music was rearranged to increase inclusive performances by other members of the orchestra, not just the organist...

I had this on vhs but was having difficulty finding it on dvd, so happy Best Buy has such a great variety of movies!

I loved this movie years ago and still love it today! The Alan parsons-produced score is a little dated and takes a way a little of the film's majesty, but after thirty years the film holds up well. The BD transfer looks great, although a few specks of dirt could be seen on the film. Overall, Warner did a good job with the transfer and it's the best the film has ever looked on any home video format. It's also the first time it's been released anamorphically as well.

Get it while you can. With Companies trying to phase out physical media, you want to get a blu ray copy of this while you can! The transfer is beautiful. Dont forget that DVD copies will degrade far faster than blu Ray. Make sure e you add this one to your collection ASAP!

Not the greatest 80s fantasy flick but if you are familiar with it, I highly recommend the blu-ray. With the remastered transfer it has never looked or sounded better, and its really like a whole new experience. I tried watching it streaming on Amazon first but it was so ridiculously low quality, this blows it out of the water.

This is a wonderful old movie with Mathew Broderick, Rutger Hauer and Michele Pfeiffer, all VERY young and lovely! The horses are wonderful, too. It is a period piece with a real villain, a curse on the two lovers, a thief and a priest who try to break the curse, and of course...the horses. Thanks to Best Buy for having this because it is a hard-to-find movie these days. Got to us timely and in good shape.

Had not seen this in years. It was actually better than I remembered. Fantasy, action, romance and a few laughs.

Happy to be able to find this on Blu-ray. It is a weird movie I loved as a kid, and I can’t tell now if it’s really good or really bad because of the nostalgia factor… regardless, I still love it. That being said, this is a bare bones release. Pretty sure it is not a new transfer, and there are zero extras, which is a shame. So, 5 stars movie availability, 3 stars picture and audio quality, 0 star extras… guess it’s overall 3?

Forgotten classic on Blu-ray! On of the earliest movies of Michelle Pfeiffer. Disappointingly, no special features whatsoever.

Excellent Movie Blu Ray had this in VHS and tape got ruined great transfer when they change from animal and bird to humans

This was my wife's childhood favorite. Best Buy had a better price than Amazon.
