This was the first R rated movie that I saw in theaters so this one will always have a plan in my heart The movie as a whole is a great fun movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. Buy it!

Great Movie - must have for the collection - one of our favorites

One of my new favorite cheesy horror flicks. I didn't give it a chance when it originally came out. The DVD copy was very poor, but this blu-ray set is worth the upgrade. The film looks great!

Wonderful movie with Bridget Fonda & Bette White. And a giant alligator.

She loved the movie. And so did my other sister. The watch all kinds of movies.

Absolutely love this movie have since it came out years ago

This is a monster movie, but in this case it's a normal gator, of very large size, that somehow got transplanted to a lake in Maine. With Betty White you know you are getting some comedy. And that's what this is - a horror comedy movie. This isn't a 5 star movie, but nevertheless it was a lot of fun. A few extras by Shout make this a nice Blu-ray to own.

A Fish and Game worker is doing a survey of beavers in a placid lake with the local sheriff when he suddenly becomes half the man he was and dies. Local law enforcement, Fish and Game, and a New York museum worker set out to discover what happened. They are soon joined by an eccentric millionaire who loves crocodiles. Is there a crocodile in the lake? At first few believe that such a thing could be until hard evidence shows up. The Crocodile is not an ordinary one, it is thirty feet in length. The camp is quickly split between those who want to kill it and those who want to save it. To learn it's fate you will have to watch the film. This is a very well-done piece of work. The characters are interesting and there is just enough sarcastic humor to really lighten the mood. Betty White plays a foul-mouthed local resident and her delivery of her "I'm rooting for the crocodile" line is an instant classic. This is a fun film and far from typical. It is not just a giant-lizard-eating-people film. Check it out.

There is a lot of fun to be had with Lake Placid, this creature feature from the late 1990s. With whip-crack dialogue and a cast of notable character actors (Bill Pullman, Brendan Gleeson, Oliver Platt and others), Betty White is a stand out in her few scenes. To give life to the giant crocodile wreaking havoc on their small town community, there is an effective mixture of practical puppetry and CGI which has not lost its charm to the modern viewer.

The cast in this film work so well together, is is fun to watch over and over again just to hear Betty White curse! Good action and suspense, but due to a few graphic scenes (which are actually mild compared to most current standards) and some strong language, you might want to consider previewing before showing to younger audiences.

I have always liked animal attack movies. Obviously Jaws is the gold standard. There have not been many good Gator movies. I would saw that this is probably one of the best. Betty White is hilarious. There is a good cast and a sense of self-parody to the movie. Good blu ray transfer

The is a funny movie built on the backs of strong characters and good acting. Betty White herself is worth the price of admission. So is Bridgette Fonda.

I can’t believe I missed seeing this movie growing up! Laughs, scares, gore, Betty White as an ornary ol’ biddy. What more could you ask for?!

I felt this had the necessary surprises and twists & turns, and super comedic flare!! Highly recommend. The ending had me on the floor!!

This movie is very realistic and keeps you guessing until the end. It is a high quality movie that you can enjoy watching. This movie is definitely a rare find.

Always really enjoyed this movie… just wish the sequels were anywhere half as good…

Been wanting to upgrade to the Scream Factory release for a while. This movie is lots of fun and extremley happy it actually came with a slipcover!!!

One of the all time underrated “horror” movies. Plenty of humor to go along with all the scares.

This movie has a few scary parts but it has a lot of humor. I like the actors in this movie
