Bizarre fit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The battery fits into HP DV4 battery slot but sticks out a few inches from the bottom of the laptop so the laptop won't lay flat on a hard surface. Very strange but functional if that doesn't bother you. It bothers me.

Did not fit my hpdv5 laptop

Even the sales rep on the phone tried to sell this same battery to me again when I called to exchange it. Proceed with caution - study the photo of the battery and see if it is identical to yours or if it is the mirror image of yours before purchasing. And now I have to pay shipping to return the battery that was advertised to fit my laptop... Bummer...

Battery will not stay locked into computer.

The battery seems to hold charge and powers the computer very well, but when installed the battery will not snap into location and will fall out at the most unexpected moment. Who can respond about a fix to this issue?

Didn't work for me

The connectors were on the wrong side of the battery. Very frustrating, don't recommend.
