We purchased this fan for white noise to help drown out traffic noise and it's been perfect for this, as it makes just enough noise to cover outside noise, without making it difficult to hear inside noise over. It also seems like it will be good in the summer for actual use as a fan, with 3 settings and optional oscillation.

Cools the area and does its job, the one I have is quiet but you can still hear it, but even on the strongest setting its still quieter than an A.C. I opted in for the open box product to save a few bucks, arrived on my front door in a torn up box with holes!! I got lucky nothing was missing and put it together real quick. In short, decent fan recommend for a small room and get a brand new version!

Powerful but quiet, cools a small bedroom, not enough settings

This fan works just as described. I love having a remote to change the fan speed or turn on and off. I do like that it has a timer to automatically turn off.
