    Best Tool Album, one of the best albums all-time

    This album is first of all, one of the best tracks of music all-time, crossing genres, generations, and cultures. It was hard for me to decide between Aenima and Lateralus as Tool's best albums, so I put that debate to rest and decided that Lateralus is definitely the most mature-sounding album from Tool - the sounds, meanings, rhythms, and transitions all seem most refined. Above all, the 12+ tracks on this album all work perfectly together, and perhaps some may judge that no single song is Tool's best by varying opinions, but put together, the album of songs is greater than the sum of its parts, and Tool has produced a modern rock symphony. I feel that Aenima is also in that vein, but the combination of sounds and perceived meanings gels better. This is truthfully my favorite album by a music band, and I would recommend it to anyone on the spot. This is a piece of music that once hearing, you know it will stand the test of time. Perhaps Tool is not as well-known in the mainstream of music lovers, but taking the time to hear this album will make you want to hear the rest of their work.

    Tool = Perfection

    From the opening notes of "The Grudge" to the final chill of "Faaip de Oiad," this album is absolute perfection. "Lateralus" is my favorite artist by my favorite band. Although Maynard James Keenan gets most of the attention, Tool is a group of four incredibly talented musicians. Danny Carey's drumming is thunderous and god-like, while Justin Chancellor's bass playing is complex, and rich. Adam Jones is one of the most underrated guitar players around, and his playing is a perfect complement to Maynard's voice. My favorite tracks on this album are "Lateralis," "The Grudge," "Ticks & Leeches," and "The Patient," although I love the entire album. It's hard to pick one highlight from a band who seems to excel at vocals, lyrics, and musicianship. This is the greatest CD ever made, period.

    The sound of this album is absolutely incredible. That is about all that needs to be said. The way Justin's bass osund really pops out at you in the opening few lines of The Grudge immediately grasp your attention and harness it to their overwhelming musical aura. I like the way that more sound wavers and flangers and phasers are used in this album as opposed to Aenima and such. All of the band members contribute way more than they owe the world to the making of this album.

    Tool really makes their mark on the music world with their hard, heavy, and complex musicianship. Lateralus showcases what Tool does and their not afraid to explore topics of humanity, both good and bad. A truly euphoric experience for the ears and mind for those who attempt to understand the meanings behind the lyrics.

    I'm saddened at the rumor/news that Best Buy is eliminating the CD section, because though I've become used to using digital streaming music services there really is nothing like opening a brand new CD; that new album fragrance and the awesome artwork. And it's tool!

    I was excited to get this Cd but once I opened it was quickly disappointed. It had an ice long scratch on it. I've had the disc before and it's great but for this review I had to rate it low simply because I had to take it right back in and they didn't have anymore.

    Lateralus is a great album!!! The concepts are unique such as in the title song which talks about the Fibonacci sequence!! Reflection is a great psychedelic song! Ticks and leeches and the grudge are powerful!! The album flows all the way through and Tool does not disappoint!!

    This album absolutely sent me into a world of nostalgia. Always and forever going to be a classic rock/metal piece of art! I always dig checking out new and old music so of course a Tool CD was going to be a purchase somewhere down the line.

    Tool's 3rd LP - Lateralus is the perfect composition of their distinct and complex metal sound with powerful and deep lyrics at their creative peak between the 10 year span from the release of Aenima to 10,000 Days.

    Worth buying on CD for the unique packagin, which includes a clear sleeve around the jewel case, and a plastic book that is a multilayer cutaway of the human body - very Tool. The music is, of course, classic 90s Tool.

    This Album is just good. There is not one song that is bad or that you find yourself skipping over. I'm more partial to Lateralus, myself but Parabola is great to. Every once in awhile band comes up with an album you don't get tired of and for me this is it.

    Another great Tool album indifferent from the Aenima album but not in terms of music just material. Tool guides us through their potent and enlightening view of the human soul and their pesimistic perspective of this malign universe.

    I like all TOOL music as well as A Perfect Circle music. Picked up this CD to complete my collection of TOOL CDs. I like having the physical CDs to look at the artwork, read credits, etc.

    Love Tool so much and you were the only store close that had their albums. Tool doesn't have digital downloads. I was very happy you had the albums.
