I knew of this film by reputation but had never seen it in its entirety. It is a great vehicle for Gene Tierney. The blu-ray includes an extended version with material that had been cut out of the theatrical release. It provides some added background on Laura. While not a great film, it is enjoyable and well worth watching.

I have always enjoyed this movie and, really enjoy it in blu-ray. I read of some complaints but I saw no issues with the copy I recieved. The plot moving from murder to love story makes for interesting watching. Dana Andrews as the policeman in charge is very capable. Gene Tierney gives an excellent performance as the victim "risen". Vincent price as the "gigolo" and a narcisstical Clifton Webb make for an interesting mystery. Add in Clark's character starting to fall in love with a painting then the real thing while figuring things out to the climax. People who like this genre should enjoy watching. I do over and over.

Beautiful transfer with sharp images and solid sound. A classic film has been given a classy presentation. Highly recommended for mystery buffs as well as fans of any of the film's leads.

This classic mystery dazzles in Black and White! The image gives the noir-ish style a boost. The audio is very clear with no obvious defects. The extras are informative, especially the 45 minute fascinating documentary on leading lady Gene Tierney (whose life was like a tumultuous roller-coaster ride, full of ups and down and twists and turns).

A tangled noir featuring some exquisitely snappy dialogue. Picture quality and sound are terrific. Watch on a rainy night.
