YES,I LOVE OLD MOVIES AND THIS ANOTHER IN MY COLLECTION NOW. YES IT IS GREAT ONE TO WATCH ,BIG TIME PRODUCTION LOTS OF ACTION.

It was a great movie. Set during the First World War, Lawrence seeks to fight the Ottomans with the help of the Desert folk. Good stuff.

Great movie. Unfortunately it did not come with the digital code as advertised.

This is not a steelbook, its a metalpack. The case its nice, however.

I expected it to be a much sharper picture on my PS3 with BR, but it wasnt. Still an excellent movie and not a bad price.

Being one of the classics of cinema with an all-star cast, I find it funny that I have never seen this film. Acting is top notch. The picture quality is some of the best I have seen and shines on a big screen television. The story is WAAAYYYYY to long and the pacing drags. Overall I would still recommend this product on the merits of the acting and picture quality.

Great David lean film with awesome steelbook packaging for a great price

There is a new 4K aspect out now, so I should have waited, but this one was a bargain. Even the disc was cheap it still great to watch! The new set has some bonus features, but apparently Sony will mail you a replacement when ready!

A great steelbook and a spectacular motion picture

Awesome blu ray transfer; movie never gets old and great price.

Lawrence of Arabia is my favorite film of all time. An epic masterpiece. My rating has nothing to do with the film or the disc quality. The 4K presentation is 5 stars and what I appreciate about 4K, taking my favorite movies from yesteryear and making them look new. Better than new. This rating is all about how poorly the quality control and Best Buy’s shipping of Steelbooks is. I went through 4 Steelbooks and all had damage, either from shipping or poor quality control from factory. Dents, scratches, chips, you name it, these Steelbooks had it.

An epic story of a brilliant man. Nice move but long.

The item was mis-coded. I really wanted the digital copy. Ordered for local pick up... no digital copy. I immediately returned to the store... assured it was the right product... “no way”. Error could be made... no digital copy. Two more trips to the store and more than two hours on hold and I never got my digital copy... oh at least I got my store credit.

Amazingly enough, I had never seen Lawrence of Arabia before the blu-ray; one of the very few classics that I missed growing up. It's easy to see why it's a classic though, as it's an incredible experience from beginning to end. The video, showcasing that wonderful footage, is almost perfect only with some very rare, faint blue vertical lines intruding and those are almost certainly a source issue and not a problem with the encode. Equally impressive, the audio is phenomenal with the iconic score soaring through. The only problem here is the obvious dubbing in of lines in one scene for which the original source material was lost. Again, an extremely minor nitpick that has nothing to do with the quality of the disc. There are many behind the scenes featureless to round out the package.

This is a excellent restoration of a great movie. The Blu-ray version loaded properly and played with no problems on a recent Panasonic Blu-ray player (DMP-BDT220). A comment about Best Buy: this package was a little difficult to find at my local Best Buy. It took about 10 minutes of searching but finally found it for the advertised price.

Deservedly viewed as one of the most critically acclaimed movies in history. This desert saga was one of the most challenging movies ever filmed. Lean's typical manic attention to every detail is put to its best use here. Maurice Jarre's beautiful score, the rarely equaled cinematography combined with superb acting and unparalleled desert scenery make this one of the true must-see cinematic experiences. Buy it. Watch it in hi-def on the biggest screen you can find and turn up the volume!

Upon learning of this special edition release, I was stunned when I checked my collection & realized that I did not own this film classic on DVD or Blu-Ray. That sealed the deal for me. I went to Best Buy the very next day, and purchased this steel book. Very nice quality steel book (as are most of the steels from BB), makes a fine addition amongst the rest of my collection. Picture quality is stunning, with a 4K scan restoration, it looks just as good as any modern film released on Blu-Ray. Audio quality is superb, not a missed sound or note. Highly recommend this version to collectors, makes a fine addition to the film buff's collection.
