I had never seen Lawrence of Arabia, though at nearly four hours long, I'm glad that I waited until I was older to appreciate it. And I'm even more glad that I waited to see it on this outstanding Blu-ray release. While a bit long, Lawrence still moves along well and features an incredible cast, particularly Peter O'Toole in his film debut (hard to believe!). The restoration on this disc is phenomenal, you get the true scope of the cinematography, and I don't think it could look any better. If you are a film buff and haven't seen it, it's a must see, especially on this medium.

This is a classic movie that you need to make it through at least one time. Peter O'Toole's breakthrough role is a stunner. He keeps you hooked to the screen. The story is fascinating and the cinematography is breathtaking. There's a reason this makes Greatest of All Time lists so often. One of the great epic films (that will probably never be outdone visuals wise).

The restoration of this classic is simply fantastic. The folks at Sony have created something that looks as if though it was filmed yesterday. You should watch it once for the transfer and once for the plot. The image is increadibly clean and there is a level of sharpness that I have not yet seen in another film of this age. The audio quality is impecable as well.

"Lawrence Of Arabia" was the best movie made in the 1960s. Peter O'Toole & Omar Sharif were magnificent. The rest of the cast which was wonderful included Jose Ferrer/ Jack Hawkins/ Anthony Quinn/ Alec Guinness / Anthony Quayle/ Claude Rains & Arthur Kennedy. This movie was was one of if not the best cast films ever made. Definitely recommended to everyone!

Awesome! Looks better than ever! A must see film for anyone interesting in history or film in general. We should hope that films are made on this scale again one day.

This is one of the greatest movies ever made. Add to that the Best Buy exclusive steenbok packaging with a lovely, lonely image of a single rider in the desert only adds to making this a must buy. Even if you already own Lawrence of Arabia (which I did before buying this version), it's a great buy.

What else is there to say about LoA? If you are wondering if the blu-ray upgrade is worth it, the answer is definitely yes. At this price, it's a no brainer. If you have never seen LoA, then do yourself a favor and buy this blu-ray and spend a afternoon or evening watching one of the greatest movies ever filmed.

You cannot miss the widescreen extravaganza put together in this film. Every time I watch the movie, I come amazed by the sheer scale of the shooting sequences. And you cannot miss the acting talents pooled together by actors like Omar Sharif, Peter O'Toole, Anthony Quinn, Alec Guinness and all others.

Peter O'Toole is so extraordinary in his portrayal of the idiosyncrasies of T.E.Lawrence that the Academy couldn't give him the Oscar because of the suspicion that O'Toole was actually a reincarnation and not acting; a worry from which the Academy recovered with Day-Lewis's Lincoln.

I've always loved this movie, and I was happy to purchase it on sale in the collectible metal packaging. Had it years ago on VHS, no contest to the BluRay version! Great story, acting, and direction! It's a long movie, but should be in anyone's collection!

While there may be no substitute for seeing David Lean's masterpiece on the big screen, this Blu-ray does a beautiful job of capturing the epic beauty of the film. An amazing piece of film history, and Peter O'Toole is riveting as Lawrence. An essential part of any film collection!

I have always loved this movie, but be warned, this single DVD version is NOT the director's cut. It is the restored 1988 version, and very beautiful, but it does not have the wonderful (additional) aerial shots and other scenes included in the longer version. Instead we get over 10 minutes of completely blank screen while the musical overtures play (apparently something director David Lean originally wanted). I would rather have had the director's cut. There is no "bonus" material at all in this version.

Great Product. I will recommend this to all my Friends and Family. It is what I've come to expect from this brand. Also, it was an exceptional value. I am very satisfied with this purchase and am continually on the lookout for similar values from Best Buy.

A great transfer of a cinematic gem. Looks wonderful; try to see it on the biggest screen you can. The extras were great, especially the Spielberg interview. I would have liked an audio commentary by a critic or scholar, but that's a very minor complaint.

The story line, scenery and production values are all fantastic. I hadn't seen the movie since I'd watched a VHS recording of it as a kid. What a huge difference. Sony did an amazing job scanning the film at 4K and releasing a flawless Blu Ray.

a great epic tale, that was introduced to me by my father. With great acting and intriguing story and not to mention that amazing scenery which alone cause the movie to take 5 years to film on location. Absolute must see.

By now we've all seen this movie before, but to have it in such a great re-mastered version makes it a must-have, especially at such a low price.

This Movie has it all, drama, suspence, action, and some humor. The filming was outstanding. The characters were great. Overall, I loved this film and have purchased several copies for family members who also have enjoyed watching it.

There's a reason the American Film Institute has Lawrence of Arabia at #7 on their all time best list! This is one of the best movies of all time and the blu ray transfer is one of the best too! Buy it.
