    Defective release?

    I purchased Lawrence of Arabia on Blu-Ray the day it was released. i am posting this review as a warning that there may be a problem watching it on some BD players. I have a modern home theater system: HP Windows 7 Media Center PC and a factory installed BD drive. Software is up-to-date. All my other BD movies play normally. Lawrence of Arabia does not. When WMC tries to load the movie a pop-up appears asking "Would you like to check for updates?" Whether i select yes or no the movie fails to load and the same pop-up reappears a moment later. There seems to be no way out of the loop. I returned the disc to Best Buy where a manager tried my original disc and a second copy on the store's stand-alone BD player. Neither disc worked. Do not consider buying this release without checking BD forums and online reviews for advice about this problem. If you decide to buy the movie get a manager's assurance that you can return the disc if it does not work.
