There is no denying the 4K is a great picture and this is a great story (not withstanding just how much of that story is truly factual) The intent of this review is to forewarn buyers of the strange black period on both 4K disks. After the opening credits both disks go black for some 4 minutes, although music plays. Initially I thought my disks were faulty, but both seem to cover the entire film - so don't return them, just fast forward through that initial period :)

The film is beautiful and this blu-ray edition of it does it the images of the background and characters justice. Packaging wise, it could have been better. This is a standard metalpak, which differs from a steelbook in how the case's spine is put together. Metalpaks have hinces that protrude forward off the case itself instead of a Steelbook having a flat metal spine. This wouldn't be worth mentioning if it weren't for the fact a Steelbook edition of this film exists. It contains the same film, extras and even the same image on the cover and back that the metalpak one here does, but it's just not in the generic case. If you're a fan, you may want to opt for the steelbook edition elsewhere.

OMG I have seen this movie a dozen times, but never like THIS! 4K UHD images are crisp, colors are rich and vibrant, HDR black levels are inky with great detail and the remastered audio ...the AUDIO is a sublime all encompassing Dolby Atmos which is active on all channels and encompasses the viewer in the sounds of the desert, the feel of war, and the sweeping classic cinematic score! This is one upgrade not to miss!

A must have addition for any film lovers collection. I personally find this film close to being an example of the perfect epic. with the highest standards in cinematography, acting, script, directing and writing employed. This Movie was crafted with respect for the subject matter and the audience. It serves as a good history lesson explaining partially how the arabic world of today came to be. the closest I can come to any criticism is that the pacing could seem a bit different to persons who are used to the 'fast food' pacing and quick takes found in modern flicks. This film is meant to envelope the audience in its world and be savored by the viewer like a full course meal.

One of best movies I've watched as a kid, young adult, and now. I wish they made more epic movies like Lawrence of Arabia. I love the art work on this steelbook. It's one of the reasons I collect steelbooks, for the art work. The image online doesn't do it justice. It has almost a metallic like finish to it. This thing is beautiful.

This 4K transfer for the 60th Aniv. of this classic film is beyond stunning! This is the film that made another Hollywood famous director want to get into film making (Martin Scorsese). The desert scenes are more detailed and stunning than ever before with this magnificent 4K transfer. This is a "must-have" film for any collection!

While I already own a copy of this movie, I couldn't pass up the steel book version. Best Buy is second to none with their collectible packaging. The movie is obviously one of the more celebrated of all time, chronicling the military life of T.E. Lawrence and his rise to becoming one of the most influential leaders in history. The cast, lead by Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif, shine in this film. The cinematography is astonishing and the landscapes are beautiful, even when they're being decimated by war. A perfect film for a rainy afternoon.

One of the greatest motion pictures on Earth comes home on Blu-Ray disc. It's one of the most sweeping adventures of all time committed to film. The story of one man's struggle in the desert as externalized by his own quest to unite the Arab armies against the Turks all amid British influence is a fascinating tale. One feels as though one is in the desert and experiences the hypnotic quality of doing so while one watches the picture. It is a trip like "2001 A Space Odyssey" and is much an experience to undergo the process of watching the film as it is to experience the story.

This is truly one of the best uses of narural scenery, background music scoring and storytelling that only the combined talents of the modern day film industry could succeed in bringing together as they fictionalize the true events that portray the dramatic life and times and series of events of the real-life historical T.E. Lawrence. It also took this epic-structured sentence to review and do justice to this 'must-have' film in your collection as one of the greatest films ever made! (Applause, thank you!)

A superb and visually stunning film. This movie speaks for itself. One can only marvel at it. A beautiful film made during a different time when epics truly felt like epics. The 4K transfer is gorgeous. Takes ones breath away. Folks, This 4K disc needs to be in your collection. It's just simply a no brainer.

There is a reason this film achieved 7 Academy Awards...Great Story, Great Cast and Over the Top Cinematics with no CGI. The under 30 crowd may not appreciate what this epic film has to offer, but so many things have graduated from here. Peter O' Toole, Alec Guiness, Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif, Claude Rains and more round out this EPIC cast. "From small things are great beginnings..." I recently was watching the Alien prequel Prometheus where this movie was referenced and admired by the android named David. At this price...just had to get it.

Before seeing this film, I didn't think I could've been missing much from the world of movies because I've seen thousands of them including most films considered classics. When I saw this Blu-ray for such a low price, I had to check it out. I couldn't have been more pleased with this purchase. With vast shots of the sprawling desert and perfectly shot symmetrical scenes, Lawrence of Arabia is a beautiful epic masterpiece of film that boasts an extremely talented cast with an equally entertaining story. Lawrence of Arabia is a true classic and a groundbreaking epic long before those words became just overused marketing ploys. From F.A. Young's breathtaking cinematography and Maurice Jarre's now-classic soundtrack to Peter O'Toole's impeccable personal portrait and David Lean's remarkable direction, Lawrence of Arabia dazzles with both depth and breadth, and is the standard by all subsequent epics can be measured. Great picture quality on the Blu-Ray release, a worthwhile upgrade even from the excellent Superbit DVD edition.

Peter O'Toole , Alec Guinness , Omar Sharif , all great actors , head a large cast of characters in this epic tale. Since 1962 , this film has always been a classic of large movie making. A single modest man that becomes a desert military icon respected by the English military and loved by the Arab people. Its a true Hollywood movie spectacle as made during the 60s. Beautiful colorful presentation , great sets . If you haven't seen it , you must put it on your " to get " list.

Lawrence of Arabia is one of the greatest epics (if not the greatest epic) of all time, But that is not the only reason why this gift set is awesome. It comes with a book about the making of the movie and the restoration process with never before seen behind the scenes pictures, an authentic film cell, and a four disc set: Disc 1 is the movie, Disc 2&3 are the Bonus features, and the fourth disc is the sound track. In other words, if you haven't bought this gift set, BUY IT!

The Steelbook looks great but the sound & visuals on this 4K release makes this a must have for your collection. It looks & sounds like a new movie released in 2022. I highly recommend this release!!!

For a modern audience the movie may seem slow, but this film stands the test of time and finds an exalted plane on Blu-Ray format. All the reasons one would want a Blu-Ray player in the first place are demonstrated in this wonderful release.

Sidney Lumet said in his book making movies that there would always be three top directors at any given point in time and no matter who the other two are David Lean would be the third and this movie is why. Epic in scope and all other aspects Lawrence of Arabia is what all films want to be. The quality of this transfer is beautiful with a wonderful score. This movie is a must watch for any film fan.

AMAZING transfer. Been wasting on this to land on 4K for a long time and it definitely it one that has one of the best transfers for a film this old I’ve ever seen. Wonderful art on the steelbook as well. Highly recommended!
