One of the top movies of the year, Nicolas Cage wins the Best Actor Oscar and Elizabeth Shue has one of her best performances of her career. And it doesn't hurt that is played out in the backdrop of Las Vegas. Cage plays a man at the end of his rope that has lost everything and now wants to drink himself to death. Can Shue save him from this fate?

The movie is good but just a sad theme overall. Worth a watch

Not my favorite Cage movie. A good one time see for me.

I usually like Nicholas Cage movies, but this one has to be his worst yet. The story line dragged and dragged and it ended leaving you to wonder what happened to him. I wouldn't watch this movie again - there was so much violence and nudity. The review on the outside of the dvd cover lead me to believe that he and the woman he met in Las Vegas both turned their lives around, but that was not the case. The only thing good I can say about it was that the chemistry between Cage and Shue was outstanding. The only reason I give it one star is because I had to enter a rating; otherwise I wouldn't give it any stars.
