After promising these deluxe editions since 2012, when in an interview Jimmy Page stated that they would be released in 2013, they are finally here. And the companion discs, and 80 page accompanying books to each of these box sets, plus the vinyl re-issues with all the LP's original artwork are worth the price ( $120.00 ) alone ( to the casual fan, this is very excessive ). The companion disc has alternate takes of Whole Lotta Love and What Is And What Should Never Be, as well as instrumental versions of Thank You and Living Loving Maid, plus rough mixes of the other tracks....it's as if Page released an alternate version of each of these albums, as a " F*** you " to the bootleggers who've been releasing subpar versions for years. These are the real deal...and well worth the wait.

The Super Deluxe Box Set of LED ZEPPELIN II is a must far the TRUE Zeppelin fan. The music has been masterfully remastered by Jimmy Page and the accompanying "companion disc" is a true glimpse into the creative process that went into it's making. The packaging is truly ELITE. The 80 page book is worth it's weight in gold. In edition to the two 180 gram vinyl pressings, you get 2 standard audio discs, FLAC audio download card and if you're lucky enough to get a first pressing, a numbered litho print of the cover art. Truly impressive in all regards.

No need to review the music, you know it's great. The remastering job sounds better than any of the previous releases. Vinyl sounds really good and the book is a good edition. Worth the price.
