      Hey Lester,

Thanks for choosing Lenovo and for sharing your feedback with us!

Regarding the battery life, depending on the demand of the game you're playing, by pressing the Legion R button to launch the quick menu, you can switch to lower power mode to save battery. In the menu, under the performance tab, users can toggle thermal modes and prioritize battery life by using the default mode or creating a custom thermal mode should you not be satisfied with the 3 presets. These adjustments can also be made by going into Legion Space > Settings (Legion Space can be launched quickly by pressing the Legion L button (Legion Logo above the button).

We are glad to read that the Legion Go S has been otherwise great for you.

This was my first experience using a PC handheld, having come from using the switch as my main console for the last 5+ years, and it exceeded my expectations. Out of the box it takes a little bit to set up and get used to all of the settings (I will admit that there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to tuning the devices for specific games), but once I figured everything out the system felt smooth and easy to use. There are a good amount of customizable options including the RGB lights on the joysticks which is a nice plus. It is a powerhouse of a device compared to the switch and it’s nice having the option to play my PC games on the go now. Pros: - device feels nice in the hands for a long period of time, it’s not too heavy - nice screen despite it not being OLED. I don’t feel like it needs a better screen - games run smooth - Steam OS is easy to navigate - optional performance profiles for games so you don’t have to reconfigure every time you play Cons: - The learning curve in the beginning. It’s not that bad but I had to watch some videos to troubleshoot early problems I was having - fan volume could be bothersome to some people. I personally don’t mind them being loud at times - the battery life is under 4-5hrs, sometimes even closer to 2hrs depending on what game you’re playing. This doesn’t affect me too much since I don’t play for long periods of time in one sitting but could be a downside to those who prefer longer sessions Overall, I would highly recommend the Legion Go to those who want to dive into the world of handheld gaming. The pros of the device well outweigh the cons and for the price, you’re getting exactly what you pay for.

Very good machine. Althought a little heavy, it runs very well. The battery life is a bit short, and the fan is a little loud, but it runs everything you need at an acceptable FPS. Very happy with my purchase. Better than the steam deck, my biggest gripe is the very small touchpad, but you can supplement that with a touchpad bought online and plugged into the device as it has two c connections. Eropad for those wondering.

    Great product, loud fans; pricey

This device has me wanting to go back to PC gaming which I will be doing, the Rog Ally S is comfortable to hold for hours without a case. The 120hz screen is nice to look at, it has VRR and plays everything I throw at it. The only con to me is the loud fans, but that only happens when you play in performance mode, I played on balance. Battery life is about 2-3 hours which I think is normal for these powerful handhelds. I would wait for the Z2 Extreme devices or Xbox Rog Ally, Steam Deck OLED would be the sweet spot if you’re not looking to play the latest and greatest AAA games. For me this device is a 9/10, but I’m returning to get a home gaming pc instead. Console gaming is a mess right now with prices.

I gotta say, I love my legion go S. I had the unfortunate event of purchasing an open box legion go 2 with difficulties of parts being swapped out so I returned it and picked up the Legion go S instead due to the increase in price for the legion go 2. I must say though I have no complaints so far with the legion go S. Personally I prefer the Steam OS over the Window OS so the LGS works out for me. The 32gb with the 1 TB makes it a lot easier with smooth gameplay and tons of storage. The screen looks great, even though it doesn’t compare to the OLED screen on the LG2, about the only thing I miss from the LG2. Only negative thing I would say is the battery life is pretty short, obviously depends on the gameplay and what not, you can adjust the battery consumption but personally I don’t feel that big of a save. I tend to play on the go and I purchased Lenovos magnetic battery pack along with it which helps gameplay for another hour or so. The way it gets in my hands feels comfortable, I did buy a case for it from Dbrand which makes it feel better for me, I have big hands so it feels comfortable. Overall I enjoy the legion go S and have no regrets purchasing it. Highly recommend it.

Excellent performance for the form factor and price if it's on sale (I bought it on sale for $650). No windows bloat. Steam OS is easy to use. Battery life is very short for very demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077 (1-2 hours at max power usage). Much longer battery at idle and for simple games. LCD screen looks good. Ergonomics are good. Not a lot of 3rd party accessories when compared to the Steam Deck. If you value raw performance the most, want to play modern demanding games on it, and battery life is mostly an after thought, then buy this if the price is right for you. If you value battery life the most and prefer playing simpler games, buy the OLED Steam Deck.

In love with this machine, SteamOS is so quick with launching games. Battery isnt the best but not a problem if you game near a plug. Fan does get pretty loud but again a non-issue if you use headphones most of the time. Screen is probably the best LCD out there. Not OLED level but the 7" makes up for it. Ergonomics are amazing too.

Excellent highlighting its great screen (especially with SteamOS), powerful performance for its price (Z2GO version), and solid ergonomics, but often criticizing its poor battery life, sometimes bulky feel/size, and Windows software quirks, with many users recommending installing SteamOS for a better console-like experience and better performance management.

Coming from an OG Steam Deck, this thing is a an absolute dream. Everything feels like an improvement. It has a better processor plus double the RAM. The buttons feel sturdy and are satisfying to press (although the clicks can be a bit loud). The joysticks feel smooth and the customizable RGB lights are super cool. Steam OS works just as well as it did on the Steam Deck. The overall design and color is great. It’s really comfortable to hold for long periods of time. I did think I would miss the track pad but I really haven’t felt its absence. Now, there is one downside, especially for those looking for something portable to bring on roadtrips and stuff - the battery. If you play anything demanding, you have to be okay with having it plugged in all the time. With this in mind, I feel like it’s perfect for those wanting the flexibility to play games around the house instead of being glued to your pc.

I’m extremely impressed with the Legion Go S (SteamOS, 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD) from Best Buy. This handheld is an absolute powerhouse. SteamOS runs smoothly and feels perfectly optimized for portable gaming, with fast boot times and an intuitive interface that just works. The 32GB of RAM makes a huge difference—games load quickly, multitasking is effortless, and performance stays consistent even with demanding titles. The 1TB SSD is a massive plus, giving plenty of space for a large game library without constantly worrying about storage. Build quality is excellent, the screen is sharp and vibrant, and controls feel comfortable and responsive during long play sessions. Battery life is solid for the performance you’re getting, and the overall experience feels premium. Best Buy delivered it quickly and in perfect condition, making the purchase process smooth and hassle-free. If you’re looking for a high-end handheld gaming console with serious performance and flexibility, this is 100% worth it. Highly recommended!
