Legion Go S with Steam OS by me!

Its pricey but all the hate is overblown. Device is excellent and installing steam OS on your own which is easy to do solves many of the issues including battery life. There will always be the next thing-- enjoy what we have!

I bought the legion go for gaming at work and home mostly work and I was honestly surprised at how well it’s able to handle games like left for dead or once human and I noticed it’s actually ok with retro games but could be better

The Legion Go S can adjust the active performance profile and fan speed of the device based on your needs. To start, press the hexagonal options key located on the right controller, then select the performance tab represented by the rocket ship, from here you can adjust the performance mode. We suggest using Performance Mode, which will improve graphics performance, leading to smoother gaming. Whenever possible, we also suggest adjusting in-game settings to increase performance.

Great potential but not there yet.

Game play and visuals are super, however not user friendly out the box. Also you have to re-map controller for most games. Had to readjust performance and display to often. To many taps to get into actual game. Larger games like Doom needs several patches to work. Overall handhelds in general at its high cost has ways to go. Streaming is very limited which makes mobility crapy. Some games don’t work offline. This system (LLGS) three stars strong, I bought it cause of Game pass. But Windows 11 is not for handhelds

Best PC Handheld on the market

I ended up with the SteamOS variant for a better price since I also prefer that color, but this is the most complete handheld on the market currently while not being priced egregiously like the Legion Go 2. The extra ram & VRR display makes the 1% lows and overall gameplay feel very smooth and seamless.
