Very cool design, pretty easy to put together. Great mom gift

Orchid is my favorite flower so when I saw this set, I knew I had to have it! I'm not a super experienced LEGO builder, but the 608 piece size sounded like a nice challenge for more of a beginner like me. It was fun to put together and took me three sessions to complete. The build was relaxing with some repetition, making it easy for me to tackle. I made a couple mistakes when building but I eventually realized them and was able to fix them as they weren't major mistakes. I would say just pay careful attention to the instructions and details and it all goes smoothly.  Starting with opening the box, there are four bags inside with two black sticks (don't know the official LEGO term) that aren't in any bag along with the instruction booklet. The booklet has a small intro about the set, its designer, and some orchid information before the build instructions begin. You begin with bag one, building the blue vase, which is the base of the build. The pieces here are really colorful, which surprised me, but eventually it's covered up with the light blue sloping pieces that form the ceramic looking outer vase. The blue vase pieces are from bag two.  Bag three is the stems and leaves, using the black sticks I mentioned earlier in my review. Due to how closely I had my head to the build and instructions, a couple times I came close to poking my eye with some of the stems, so be careful here if you're like me. Don't want any accidents!  The last bag, bag four, is the flowers. This was what I was looking forward to most as to me, the flowers themselves are the most visually appealing and striking, and they were fun to build. You then stick the flowers on and toss in some brown pieces for bark (with a couple pieces meant to be potting moss maybe?) to complete the set.  All finished, the LEGO orchid is gorgeous and very elegant, looking fairly realistic. It grabs your attention and is quite tall, allowing you to manipulate the leaves and flowers to make it more personalized or change it up. I took it into my office and on the first day, already received some compliments and comments about it. It would make a great gift and was enjoyable to build. Due to its size and beauty, it's a great value for the price and I'm happy with my purchase.

This is a great botanical set. Originally wasn’t one I thought I would be in love with but it turned out better than expected. The box and pictures don’t do it justice and the set is much better looking in person once built and has made a wonderful addition to my botanical collection sitting up on a windowsill.

This one’s a really nice build, especially if it’s on a rainy day cause it gives you a lot to do once the basis is done it’s pretty straightforward. You just build the stems and put the flowers on. It’s just that simple overall it probably takes about an hour, so if you have a restless child, and they like Legos, this one’s always a great one the child meaning me lol overall it’s great and it’s affordable but be careful because a lot of the Legos from Best Buy you can’t return them you buy it it’s yours.

Great lego set, fun and not too difficult. And it makes a nice display when finished.

This is a really nice set that is pretty easy to put together, but very satisfying nonetheless. You can arrange them in different ways in case you don't love the example display. It looks great on my desk and I don't have to worry about the cat trying to eat it.

Bought this for my wife for Mother's Day. Looks awesome and was fun to put together. I would love it if the made some alternative flower colors like the Bonsai.

This set not only looks awesome, it is very unique and a great conversation piece. Considering the size of the set, and number of lego pieces, it is extremely reasonably priced. The only thing to know about Best Buy is that they ship legos in their original box and it normally destroys the box. If you are a collector, use the in-store pickup option. And be aware they WILL put stickers on the box. Still, I think the ugly stickers are less of a detractor to the original LEGO packaging than a totally crushed and ruined box.

I gave this Lego set as a 40th birthday present! The Recipient was extremely happy. I knew I was way out of any box of thinking, but I just thought this would be a good gift. I was so right and so glad I saw it before I left the store!!! I don’t remember the name of the cashier at the front of the store but she was awesome!!

This orchid was so fun to build. Easy to follow instructions and end product is stunning.

A gift for my husband for our 5th wedding anniversary. He loved and he was very excited because he loves orchids. He never thought LEGO had this kind of sets. Waiting to see him to put it together and see the results. He wants to put it on his desk in the office so he can see it every day. I told him about adding a light kit to illuminate it and he loved the idea... just google "LEGO 10311 light".

The botanical series is so fun - this is a fun evening project that becomes a beautiful display piece! I like the look of plants but hate keeping them alive, so I have a combination of dried plants and Lego botanicals instead of the traditional overflowing plant shelf. The orchids and the bird of paradise are my favorite Lego botanicals so far - the bonsai isn't that exciting to build or display.

So much fun to put together. Looks amazing in home and would recommend as decoration
