Fun adventure that is suitable for all ages.

If you are a fan of the LEGO games or have younger gamers in your house this game will not dissapoint, especially if you are a fan of the movies. For the most part the game follows the story of the 4 movies (including the one that is to come out on 5/20/11) but they do take a few liberties to make the story flow better for a video game instead of a movie. In typical LEGO fashion, the characters do not actually speak, nor are there subtitles, which means the story is delivered via facial expressions and non-verbal sounds. If you are familiar with the movies then you won't have an issue following the story. But if you haven't seen the movies (or if you have but didn't pay attention to the plot) then you might have a hard time following the plot lines in the mid to late game. However, even if you don't understand the plot that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the fun gameplay. The humor of Pirates fits well with the quirky style and humor of the LEGO games. It is fun to see and play as all the different characters from the movies. This game is suitable for children, but you don't have to be a child to enjoy it. If you are looking for a fun adventure game and like both the LEGO and Pirates franchises, then this game is certainly for you.

Love to watch the kids play Lego games!

I love the Lego games and this one doesn't disappoint. I never have to worry about the content or the quality of Lego games. The games are challenging enough for adolescent and preteens, fun enough that adults can jump into the game and be entertained. If you follow the story in the movie you will understand the game. The game has no subtitles or conversations, but the facial expressions and body language tell you enough about the games plot. We own all previous Lego games, and I was glad to spend the money to add this one to our collection.

Possibly the best LEGO game so far

Batman LEGO had been my favorite LEGO game and now it has some competition. Batman LEGO brought so many unique aspects that made me feel like I was playing a whole new game, and not just a new shell of a LEGO game with the same game play. Pirates LEGO game follows the movies very well. Having the actual soundtrack from the movies in the game is a HUGE bonus. I also love how instead of finding red bricks, you find red hats. I love how interactive the "home base" is, in this case the port. This game has a lot of unique material that keeps me hooked. My nephew and I love playing it together. I can't wait until we unlock everything. Another big bonus is that PSN actually has trophies for this LEGO game whereas the Batman one and Star Wars Saga one did not.

When I was a kid, I used to play LEGO Stars Wars for GameCube and I LOVED IT.... now LEGO made a video game from my all-life favorite movie. All I wanna say is: THANK YOU SO MUCH LEGO GAMES!!!
